Obd dongle to code?

Anyone have recommendations? I tried to use bimmercode but I think the dongle I have is too old or not good enough to fully code stuff because I can’t get access to things like coding the mood lighting colors and coding out the seat belt chime. Thanks

I used an OBDLinkCX for a while but got a cable with an Ethernet adapter, made my coding sessions 10 times faster.

How fast? Admittedly, the Bluetooth dongles aren't that fast. Takes about 2-3 minutes for each code. However, you only have to sit through it once so it's not a big deal. I like the wireless adapters because you can use bimmercode and stream real-time data to you lap timer. No need for a laptop.

Like 5 seconds to load the bcm and equivalent to code any module on the car. If you are doing expert mode stuff you really should use a wire.

My friend has that one and updated his bimmercode and we still can’t access everything. When I try to go into the body domain controller section it says this control unit is not accessible with the used obd adapter. I was able to code the trunk but not everything else. Did you use bimmercode or a different app? Thanks
