I can only imagine how it'd hold the road with stiffer side-wall summer tires in summer temperatures.

Very well.

Over 2g, that's just staggering.

Good article, great photography. No surprise on the winner, the only downside of it is that it is ridiculously expensive, impossible to obtain, and did I mention the price?

Makes me want to go buy that little Toyota thing.

This is killing me now… my G82 is sitting at the port in Germany waiting to get on the boat… unlike most people it seems, I love the new grill… to me it is the perfect car.

Yes, interesting, although the max/min information isn't terribly useful. Do we really believe the GTi had 2g of braking for any meaningful amount of time? It would be much better to have 5th and 95 percentiles for example.

2.05g on cornering for the m4 holy sh*t. The 1:25.42 is also just a tiny bit faster than my north track laptime at monticello in a RWD lol.

still comparatively speaking is amazing. all these other cars were on the same uphill corner. I have driven monticello a few dozen times (know the owner very well) and it has so many elevation changes.

Being AWD vs the others being RWD certainly helps in that regard.

That is what happens when you have a car that is that good to drive and garners universal praise. When you open up these 'best car', 'best performance' it's hard to even imagine anything winning other than a GT Porsche. I mean those stats it puts up are absolutely staggering. And for a car that has no turbos, only 502 hp and very little torque it puts nearly everything to shame.

Was that in the base G80 or the F80CS? I'm wondering if a RWD auto would be faster than X-Drive, all things being equal.

I'm surprised Lambo or the Merc didn't win. Yeah porsche is great but it's getting boring to hear it win on every magazine.

Does the heavier weight of the car increase the measured lateral G's? If the STO and the M4 theoretically take the corner at the same speed, would the M4 be higher? It's been a long time since I had a physics class.
