Has anyone noticed in the configurator that if you option the full leather Fjord Blue, Ivory White, Tartufo, or Fiona Red, the edging on the floor mats matches the color? However, that's not true for Silverstone or Kyalami Orange.

I wonder if that's true in reality and why that is, or if just a configurator issue.

Not sure. I got full Fiona and my floor mat edging is Fiona.

Mine is too. It looks good. It’s frustrating because I paid $300 for M performance mats and now I’m torn whether I should keep the stock ones with the red edging or put the upgraded mats in. Lol

Winter set/summer set!?

I just took out my M Performance for the OEM rubber set. Last thing you want is salt stains on the nice carpets

I have the basic OEM ones also but they are still in the wrapper and will put them in the car brand new when I sell it to make it look fresh!

M Performance mats. Colored edging is an upgrade over the regular mats for sure (especially in Fiona/Fjord) but imo feels like a 'luxury line' feature from the Fxx generation.

It has nothing to do with full vs. extended. I have Fiona extended and my edges are red.

But does it have something to do with color? Fiona red gets the matching edging but Kyalami doesn't from what the configurator shows.

It's because Fiona is considered individual and the individual colors also get the edge colored mats. Kyalami is not.

Nothing to do with individual options. It’s because the piping is done to match the accent of the seats, especially the bucket seats in particular. Colored piping only comes on interiors where the bucket seat is full leather, like ivory white, fjord blue and fiona red. They don’t make tartufo buckets. If you have black alcantara on your seat you have black piping. Easiest way to look at it. Regular seats adhere to this as well.

Anyone with extended or full YAS MARINA BLUE that can share the piping on their floormats?

Doesn't show any piping on the configurator for my full YMB, but curious to hear from people that have their cars. thx!

Our dealer said its because Fiona Red, Ivory White, Fjord Blue are individual colours so they get the piping on the mats.

The dealer in Joe Achiles latest video also mentions this.

I have the buckets seats in Silverstone with full leather and plain mats.

Mine came with just the regular floor mats no edging. I have extended YAS

I don’t have that combo but Yas interior does not come with colored piping.

If BMW considers those interior selections as “individual” then that word is used very loosely.

I quite agree. When I picked mine up I was disappointed not to have had colour matched mats as having seen them in various photos/vids Id not realised it was only for certain seat colours. Not deal breaker obvs but still a bit tight on BMWs part.

Those interior leather colors are considered Individual, thus the piping on the floor mats.

By the way, piping on floormats used to be an Individual Manufaktur option for $1000 before the G8x.
