Retrofit F10 M5 Illuminated Shift Knob

I will be retrofiting the F10 M5 Illuminated Shift Knob to my G80. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the Center Console? I need to tap two wires to the harness. I took out my shift knob with the pictures below exposing the harness.

This has been a recurrent theme with BMW M3s. My '99 E36 had one, but it was only available 98-99 for that build. My '10 E92 did not have one.

Perhaps BMW is hoping we know how to find the shifter (and gears) without visual assist.

Although completely unnecessary, I do think it's a nice touch

I am still waiting for the F10 knob to be transferred to the original boot. The shop needs to look at the harness. Thanks for the diagram

Would you be able to post some more details once everything is hooked up?
Thanks!

Ah, that's right! I remember chatting with you.
Still haven't decided when I'll be making the jump but once I do, I'd definitely want the illuminated shift knob back.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks to Heyckyeahbro69 and Moproblems for the wiring diagram.
The shift knob light can’t be dimmed as in previous generation. It is powered off the Center Console Parking Assist Engine Stop switch module. I tapped into the Brown/Black and Green wires.

Thanks for sharing the info!
I’m assuming the brown/black wire feeds to the brown/white wire on the LED knob (ground)?
As for the dimming, I wouldn’t mind it. It’s brighter!

No problem. Let me double check on the ground wire later. I forgot to take a picture of that one lol
