I'm doing 50% all around and 70% on the wind shield on Tuesday

I'm wanting a subtle tint and heat reduction mostly.

I'm hoping 50 is not too light. All of the 35's look too dark for my taste so I should be good hopefully

Any good pics of 50 all around?

My car is in the shade and has black interior. Both make it look darker. Look at my Austin Yellow F82 on the first page of this thread. That is 35% in full sun. If that is too dark for you then I think you will like 50%. I'd still search out an example or two.

Thanks Man,

Looks good on the bright yellow.

With Dravit I think subtle might be nice and I'm not a big tint guy.

This is 50. Looks slick

Does doing 50 on the front windshield have any impact on the HUD? I'm considering 20 (or 35) all around with 50 up front.

I did Xpel ceramic at 45% on my Dravit G80. Looks good, dark enough and still plenty of visibility at night.

I did Llytech Nano film 35% on 3 sides and 50% on the windshield for $625. Yes the HUD functions fine.

I went Ceramic 30% sides and back with the silverstone interior... looks great. I'll snap a couple pictures and post them tomorrow.

Thank you for sharing man!! This was exactly what I was hoping to connect with. I want to be able to see the interior, block the glare, and not get an added ticket lol.

This looks great, are you happy with the results? No glare?

Yeah, I think it looks good. Hard to compare on the glare as this is my first car in 7 years but I think it helps. Maybe a sun strip would help with the glare?

My tints had to be redone because there was a few specs of dust. The guy said that the lighter tints show up all of the imperfections so he had to redo it. Not sure if this is true or install error.

I'm happy with the look but I quite like the No tint look too. I think it looks very clean with no tints and makes the interior pop.

Maybe you don't need them at all?

I'm with you on that, I live in CA so I do want to protect the interior from UVs and the glare. I appreciate your comment, let you know what I do!

Yeah, it sounds like you need some quality tints in Sunny CA, especially if parking outside. Mine is parked indoors so not really left out in direct sunlight. I thought you meant glare while driving.

It seems like the quality of the tints varies quite a bit, ceramic etc. If I was in a very sunny climate and parking outdoors I would have done more research on the brand of tint etc but just went with their 'ceramic' which seemed decent enough but I don't have much to compare it to, first time applying tint to a car

For those of you that tint the front window...

There is a foam barrier between the front window and lower dash. Ive heard reports that, that foam can get damaged if you tint the front window.

For those who have tinted there front window. Is your foam barrier ok? Is it all beat up and or moved because of the tint?

Or does the tint start above that foam barrier and all is fine?

Honestly didn't even know about this but I have not noticed a single defect with the windshield after it was tinted…so I guess I would say, no to this this question. 🤷🏻
