Window tints

I tried searching but didn't find anything so thought I would post! What is the darkest tint % you have seen / would get done on the G80/82? I'm ordering an AW G80 and still undecided on how dark to go. Thanks in advance!

Tints? Seriously? Ugh.... it's window tint. Unless you plan on adding multiple layers, which would just be weird.

I have always done 35% on the sides and rear and have never put anything on the front because I didn't want it to affect night driving. 35% is just enough to be tasteful without being super dark and still easy to see out of day and night. I'm considering maybe doing 50% on the front this time around to help with glare during the day? Those of you that have done your front windows how is it, especially at night?

Another vote for 35% on sides and rear. Right balance of being dark "enough" without affecting night driving.

I Turo'd a Porsche in Arizona with 50% windshield and I hated how hard it was to see in residential neighborhoods at night.

Attached is my AW F87 with 35% ceramic tint for reference.

I did 35% sides and back, and 70% front on my F82 and worked well day and night. Will do the same on my G82.

Just to be clear, this picture makes 35% look a lot darker than it really is. In TX sunlight (assuming that's where you are based on your profile), this would appear a lot lighter.

Did the 70% in front make much of a difference during the day?

You are correct, the fence in the background is pretty dark, but 35% as a tint is still pretty dark compared to 50.

and I'm in MN, btw. Honest mistake since there is no snow in the picture

Haha - meant for the OP since he is in TX.

Agreed that 35% is much darker than 50%. Not sure I'd even be able to tell 50%.

Huh? It's a legitimate question ... move along if you aren't interested.

That looks great - definitely the look I'm going for and helps with still being able to see at night

Tints don't exist. It's 'window tint'.

Takes the glare down. No problem at night. The biggest benefit, why I did the front, was the reduction in heat. I really notice the heat coming in on the G82. Gotta wait till June 28th for my tint guy to have an opening.

He's booked out until June 28th!!?? That's crazy. Are they all that busy?

I'm thinking of going for a very light tint mostly for heat and glare reduction. 50% in the back (baby in there), 70% in the front or maybe just 50/50.

Also don't want a dark tint covering up my orange interior

I'm finally picking up my car next week. I'm doing 20% on the back and sides and 80% on the windshield. I had 80% on the windshield in my old M4 and no problem at all.

50% is perfect and you really won't notice it at night

35% ceramic here, but tint looks different based on the angle of the camera and lighting of course
