Does it happen at very low rpms?
Yea only below 1000
Do you have an insta? I think I had the same problem and it was resolved at the dealer. I can dm you a vid of the issue I was having to see if it is the same issue you are having. It was a loose exhaust hanger rubbing against something under the car.
Hi buddy, could you pm me the possible solution as well? Was getting frustrated by this rattling noise.

I only have 160 miles on my car, but there is a little rattle coming from the drivers left side, somewhere. I think its around the drivers side air vent. I need to get that looked at, for sure.

Going to join the rattling club. I have this rattle coming from the area where the SOS button is located on the ceiling. It's starting to become really annoying. If I firmly press the surrounding of the SOS button it goes away. I only have 108 miles on the clock. Anyone else has experienced this?

Do you also get plastic creaks in your interior on rough roads or over lane markers?

No plastic creaks so far. Just that rattling I mentioned earlier. Car has been solid so far. I'm assuming it might go away as time goes on. If not, then I'll bring it up once I go in for break in service.

Do you live somewhere where it's hot? Also, not really creaks but more like crunches.

I do. I live in Houston, TX. I don't think the temperature has any effect since my car is garage kept and the weather has been in the 70s lately.

I get the plastic creaks, my drivers door panel has a slight vibration sometimes and I have a "squeak" coming from either the drivers side rear or pillar area. Dealer replaced a few things and still have the problems. They told me to give it a few mos to let the plastics "wear in" and then bring it back. lol who knows.

This is a scary thread considering how many people are complaining about their brand new cars.

Day 2 with my car, under 100 miles... really annoying vibration/rattle sound coming from the steering wheel or gauge cluster. Hard to pinpoint... I'll have them mess with it when I do the break-in service. A car that costs this much should not have these kinds of issues.

This same thing happened to me something was rattling in the steering wheel and cluster area. The dealer ended up putting some type of felt behind the cluster and also had to change my airbag. Since then those rattles are gone but can hear other ones now. Never ends!

Had the steering wheel / central dash rattle on particularly coarse / bad highway roads in my 21' M3 but thankfully haven't noticed anything too crazy just yet in my 22'. Fingers crossed. I've dealt with rattles in BMWs though so i'm sure there will be something. Usually they just add felt or if something is loose they'll replace that component / cord or whatever is causing it.

I share the same concern when it comes to disassembling the door panels.
Compared to other manufacturers, however, the F8x doors were better designed IMO. (I assume the G8x will have a similar design)
As long as you have some spare clips as backup, it's quite straight forward to disassemble/reassemble the door panels.

My previous 2 F80's had minor rattling issues. It's just part of the charm of a high performance sedan/coupe with a stiff suspension and rigid chassis. Just get a louder, free flowing exhaust, open the windows and let the sweet music of that Inline 6 Twin Turbo fill your earholes instead!

I’ve had two GT350’s. I don’t think anything didn’t rattle. If it got quite then I would get concerned. My X3 M40i rattled in the center speaker, as soon as they replaced it was fixed. They replaced the turbo thinking it was that before they thought of the speaker. Hmmm. Anyways all good now!

Both of my F30's had rattles and I tried a couple of times to get the dealership to handle the issue on the first one. They resolved an instrument cluster rattle but couldn't seem to reproduce the others. I tracked down and resolved the problems, and when I got my second F30 I grabbed the felt tape and hit the same spots.

My M2 had vibrations that I was never able to resolve (not terrible issues, but solidly present). The noises varied by road surface and temperature. I don't think those issues were anything but the very stiff suspension and the lack of sound deadening.

I have a slight, occasional vibration coming from the left side of my instrument cluster that's not audible with music playing on my M3. When I take my car in for it's one-year service, I'll be bringing that one up. I had, I think, the common G20 center speaker rattle but I haven't heard it in months. That one is easy to resolve if you do have it. There are some nice posts with pictures on the G20 forums. Overall, my M3 is closer to rattle-free than my last 3 cars.

My 2021 M3 Comp had slight rattles and my brand spanking new 2022 M3 Comp xDrive already has some

So did my 2013 328iX, 2020 330iX, and 2020 M340i.

When you purchase a BMW, you kinda just expect them to rattle / squeak tbh. I've dealt with this shit in every single BMW i've ever owned and even in the loaners. They just squeak / rattle more than other cars as a baseline.

I think possibly same with Mercedes. Really Audi's are the only cars i've driven in / test drove in this segment that seem to be far more solidly built internally, or maybe I just got lucky. My 2021 RS5 from 2900 up through 6500 miles was also very, very solid and quiet in terms of cabin noise / rattles / squeaks / buzzing.

It is what it is. BMWs are also the most fun to drive so, so there's always a compromise somewhere. I could also just be very sensitive to squeaks and rattles but that shit genuinely drives me up a wall. I have learned to live with them a little better now
