Aftermarkets are arriving real soon last I heard
R44 have one on the market already but it's quite expensive also. I would be worried about it getting smashed easily as has happened me before, but at a lower price point I'd be more comfortable running one and knowing it'll probably need to be replaced at some stage

I would like a lip similar to the M4 GT3 race car. Maybe a touch less aggressive, but in that similar style. I just flows better than what I've seen so far. Maybe someone will make it someday. Oh, and I'll take that wing also, maybe a bit toned down as well

Crazy how much support they put in this product - none of the aftermarket options include these backing pieces at all. I guess that's worth something.. For whatever reason, that pushes me towards this OEM option.

for anyone who installed this.. i can't figure out how to get at this top bolt holding the side trim piece off.. its literally the first step in the install PDF

The step is "remove the 4 easy screws", then refer to the ISTA/AIR. wtf is ISTA/AIR??

This may help ? I think you have to flex the wheel liner when the lower bolt is removed.

It's a massive pain in the ass. A buddy and I did it by flexing the wheel well out and getting a small socket wrench in there. Took forever.

Someone else on here recently swapped it out and said a pair of needle nose pliers helped get in there and undo it, however, it took sometime as well.

yea, that helps a lot and i see they used 2 people for that part, which having 3-4 hands total would have made it easier for me, doing it by myself, it was really difficult to spread that plastic/bumper one handed while trying to operate the wrench/socket

waiting for my adhesive to dry, as instructions say not to install those screws back until after 24 hours of glue drying.

Hi Barry, our splitter is 3 ply and is super durable. You'd need a lot of force to crack it, we tend to see scrapes if they do make contact but have yet to see one be completely smashed and need replacing.

Given it’s glued on.. if damaged is it actually easy to remove and replace without damaging the bumper in the process?

I've recently fitted the R44 front splitter (M Performance version) - I'll take some pics once my car has been cleaned / valeted.

I got my local valet guy to do it as he has ramps etc and I don't even have a driveway (old cottage in an English village, so no parking anywhere close to my house ) - took him about 45 mins max I think, after reviewing the install guide video on the R44 website.

It looks great, fits well with no uneven gaps between the 3 pieces and all aligned properly / fixed using original fixings.
