Nice job. Good call on the ceramic. Makes it pop. Much better pop with ceramic than deep frozen colours. I see you have also de-badged.

I did, it's obvious what the car is and I kept the side badges. I also did a reflector delete courtesy of IND painted ones.

PPF areas are as follows: Full front, A pillars, B pillars, all window trim, full roof, rockers, diffuser, mirror caps, spoiler (all exterior carbon fiber is wrapped), door sills inside as well. The rest of the car has Feyn Labs self heal Ceramic, PPF areas have GTechniq Halo They did an excellent job, even in my garage right now it looks so good. Granted it'll get dirty since we have rain inbound for a few days sadly. If you want the shops info send me a DM ( I sent it to some people already maybe you're one, I don't recall)

I have their info, got a quote from them as well. Will be taking my car straight from dealership to their shop once I take delivery. Good thing is it's only 3min away. I'll be doing full PPF, Ceramic, and Tint all around. |

I have never put PPF on any car and I see many people here go that route and I understand the philosophy of protection from road debris. Also I see some say it's not worth it and deal with the rock chips. There are plus and minus and it's not cheap. What is your reason for not doing this. I have a guess as to you have so many cars and it is not a daily so the cost out weighs the benefits?

Based on my last 15 to 20 years of ownership having had multiple rides - I have not had tremendous chip issues at all. Do I have a few on my M8, hell ya but I have a smooth hand, sharp brush, and can mix paint well My PB G80 with 1400 miles when I sold it, didnt have one chip- not one. Its all just a crap shoot for me and these last few cars have not got the love. If I was in almost any other state or where weather and elements were key; PPF goes on asap.

PPF in Houston is a must. My daily driver which does not have PPF has a butchered front bumper. It's a black car and I have specs of paint chip all over. Looks like it has gotten worse over the years since it was never this bad on my previous cars. |

Woke up this morning to find driver's side rear tire flat as a pancake.
Pulled BMW Mobility Kit from trunk and inflated with 'substance' to about 35 psi in a couple minutes . . . worked like a charm. Off to local BMW dealership where they happened to have a single P-Zero on hand. A couple hours and $450 later, drove out of dealership with a new tire and 'free' wash . . . never pass up a photo op after a free dealership wash. ///AVM Last edited by ///AVM; 10-03-2021 at 10:00 PM.. |
