The Gold cards are the best even if you get a ticket which never happens the officer will go out of his way to get it dropped for you. If you live in the east you have more options as well.

How does this work if you do not actually know the officer of issue? Your buddy keeps a list of everyone he sells them to just in case of a call? Do they work in SC?

Coming up on 35 years of driving and haven't had one. I've been pulled over twice for speed without actually getting a ticket (once in 1988 and the officer was nice, once in 1993 and the officer was mean but his computer was down and he couldn't issue the ticket), and once for having expired plates from another State. They were expired by one day, it was a Monday, and I was on my way to the DMV. I had the appointment slip in the car so the cop let me go on my merry way.

I've been down to Mexico in my G20 a few times, fortunately no tickets yet. I've had a fair share of close calls however. We will see if my luck holds once my G82 arrives.

Yup, I have a remote hearing tomorrow for a ticket (operating electronic device) in NYC from 2018. BS ticket as I was coming out of a parking garage and putting address in Waze. I plead not guilty and kept asking for continuances and then covid forced mass re-scheduling. Probably going to have to pay a fine.

Perfect. Just pay the fine and it's over. DMV and your insurance will never know about it.

First of all never say never. Also what you are saying here is that the officer writes the ticket and then will go out of his way to get it dropped. Why write the ticket in the first place?

I run a combination of a Uniden R7 with Waze on all the time. It's not 100% but it's about as good as it gets for police awareness. Haven't had any tickets so far.

I live in Maine lots of rural highways and mountain roads. No tickets yet. To be honest can't remember the last time I saw a cop.

In Virginia I think I learned my lesson and plan on getting no tickets. Got a wreckless driving a few years ago in my F82 going 103 on a 55. Man Virginia dont play. Anything over 80 MPH is considered wreckless driving and they will give you days in jail of convicted plus fines and license suspensions. I am still paying for it now on my insurance and it finally falls off in June.

If you can delay it at least 3 years, I've done it, even if the ticket doesn't get dismissed the points will never show on license as it's 3 years from violation not from conviction.
Damn I wish I knew about this.

So far none, but I've only had my g30 b58 for 1 month now. JB4, intake and DP on the way. I made sure to buy Unider R7 the first week I had this car It is super lively and accelerating from 50-90+ feels buttery smooth..

I use a radar detector and nearly all police in the NYC area us Ka Band based radar guns. Usually have a few seconds warning to slow down. If you are NOT using a radar detector in an area they are legal (everywhere except VA), you are not minimizing the risk of tickets.

I haven't been pulled over in the G80 yet but NYPD cops don't seem to mind the lack of a front plate. I get a ton of thumbs up on Long Island and in Brooklyn.

When I get my M3 Comp, a radar detector will probably be my first purchase for it.

I've had an escort max360 with a blend mount for nearly 6 years. I cannot recommend it strongly enough.

I don't have my G82 yet, but I haven't had a speeding ticket in 5 years and, knocking on wood, I hope keep the streak alive. In the past I've almost had my license taken away, my insurance wouldn't renew my policy, and I was paying $750/mo because of my driving record. Keeping it on the track or being extra careful nowadays!

Always, always, always, always, always get a traffic ticket lawyer. I downloaded "off the record" from the App Store, paid $99, lawyer went to court for me, plead not guilty, the judge allowed the lawyer tick a date he would be back in court for other tickets, the lawyer knew who my cop was, and his days off, he scheduled court for a day my cop would be off, and the cop didn't show up. Removed, FTA. $680 91 in a 65, straddling a lane. First time I had been pulled over in 27 years.
