Nope, really did just mean that some people don't notice things that drive other people bonkers. And that trying to get service folk to hear rattles is a horror show.

Why a service guy might not want to hear a rattle could be sort of obvious, I think. It sounds like one of the worst things to try to fix. Let's rip this dash apart to find and fix that rattle and we better not create any more or we're right back where we started. Sounds wonderful to me.

150 miles on my new G82 and I have a super annoying rattle around B pillar/seatbelt that I cant point exactly. It gets quite loud at times, on uneven roads.
I probably won't tell the dealer until break-in service as I don't want them to touch the door panels or whatever.
I will give it a little of time and miles to see if it resolves by itself but with little hope.
If anyone has the same problem and has identified it will be very helpful.

I have rattling in the dash middle speaker when the revs is over 4000, i think when the enhanced engine sounds kicks in it rattles, and an extremely annoying rattle in the glove box the whole time , when you press with your hand on it it disappears.

Anyone else had same issues ?

Ha ha, I think you love it a bit less with all those rattles eh?
I know the feeling, not a g80 m3, but an f30… was hoping that the car would be better put together, but alas maybe not.

Have the same issue, little rattles, can’t ever figure out where they come from.
I know sometimes it’s the door padding material, the rubber.
Sometimes I had speaker rattle maybe, something loose… drove me nuts but it eventually stopped.

I feel your pain!
(It may resolve itself fyi)

It would be terrible, but also kinda funny if someone at the factory was purposefully leaving a loose screw just to torture you.

“That’ll teach you to buy a $100k car when kids are starving in Africa!”

Idk, I have a crazy mind,
I’m sure it’s not purposeful, but there are an awful lot of rattles lol

My wife’s 8 year old Acura has no rattles at all.
And that doesn’t help either, I’m sorry.

Try prayer, or just let the dealer take it apart.
That is what they are there for after all.

I took mine in twice so far for rattles. I had one they said was clip from the b pillar and the second was a lose fuel line. Now today I hear another I think it is bottom part of passenger side seat belt. I put some foam there to see if it works and will keep everyone posted. I have had Audis Benz and BMW. BMWs always rattle. Damn shame. This may be my last

I thought I was having rattles and end up being just a random items in my cup holders and doors that were causing the rattles. I took those put and the rattles were gone

Same here. These cars are built well, but still leave some fit & finish/quality to be desired. They always (G80 M3 is my 9th M car) seem to have rattles, creaks, and noises from parts that are loose or do not fit as well as they should. The G80 M3 is certainly better than the e46 Ms, the e9x Ms, WAY better than the Z4M, and even my 2019 M5 Comp made too much noise for what it cost.

My M cars all rattled. My non-M BMWs have generally been rattle free.

I only started to have rattles after having the Remus Race catback exhaust fitted for a few thousand miles.

I get a rattle from the passenger side rear door area when I leave it out in the heat or cold all day at work. I believe it's the carbon fiber roof expanding and contracting. I'm definitely not interested in having them screw with it. It goes away once car interior gets to temperature.

I had a rattle after I took delivery of my M4. I waited to address it until the break in service. The rattle was from the mic right above the driver's side. They were able to fix it with zero issues. Now the car is perfect. That one thing caused a lot of unnecessary noise.

If pavement is perfect, the car is almost rattle free. If the road is even 10% imperfect it sounds like a peach basket.
