Also curious about the install of this? I've never done something like this and am curious how easy / different it is to a newbie. Should it be done before ceramic coating is done?

You need a heat gun and some fishing wire. Taking off the spoiler doesn't take to long.. however taking off the residual adhesive is a pain in the ass and most time consuming. I used isopropyl alcohol to get the adhesive off, worked really well.

This is the easiest way to get rid of the adhesive after removal:

Any thoughts on installing before I ceramic the car? And I'm assuming you feel pretty comfortable (and others) with the longevity of non OEM spoilers?

I think that's a good idea to install it first and then do the ceramic coating. The quality of the product seems really good but only time will tell.

Not an expert but that would make total sense IMO.
You want the adhesive to adhere to your clear coat without the ceramic in between for the best bond… just like you don’t want to put vinyl over a ceramic coated paint job.

Depends.. M-Performance accessories are 2x2 and the OEM roof is 1x1.

Side note, we have a few MHC G82 M4 Carbon Rear Ducktail Spoiler's in stock right now.

The kick of this spoiler looks too high for me.

They sell three in increasing heights….a factory style…a mid-height CS style…and the ducktail.

I’m with you, the middle one seems perfect.

would like to see more profile pics of the whole car with these on. All the pictures are close ups of the wing or from the rear of the car.

How did you remove left over adhesive? Manually or with the 3M wheel?

Guy in this video is not using it correctly. RPMs should be way higher & it will blast that tape strip/glue right off. No damage will be done, other youtube videos show it a bit better.

For everyone that removed the factory CF spoiler from the CF pack....is it held on only with 3M tape or did BMW use Betalink for this?

Betalink usually requires plastic explosives to be removed it seems.

Mine, a 2021, just had 3M tape and that wheel made short work of it. I thought I saw a post that said the 2022 models may have used a more adherent glue.

I really hope it's not Betalink..... that stuff is near impossible to get off without damaging the paint to the point where it will need repainted.

Can you have a rear spoiler with out a front lip? Will it screw up any driving dynamics?

It won't affect driving dynamics as it doesn't provide any kind of significant increase in downforce.
