Vorsteiner Front Lip

I'm not the type of person that does CF on front lips/side skirts/diffusers because living in NYC/areas with awful roads means things get scuffed and scratched up pretty easily and badly. But I do feel as if the front end is missing a hint of aggression on the G8X.

None of the lips out there seem to satisfy me aesthetically. But I think the Vorsteiner one looks the best and flows well with the lines of the bumper. I'm thinking of getting it, but then would have to get side skirts and diffuser to match, and that's a rabbit hole my wallet won't like

What do you guys think?

I like it but isn't one I'd put on my car. Sticks out too far, I'd be afraid of smacking it on something. I like the aggressiveness that the M perf lip adds but is also subtle too.

It's nice if you look at it directly from the front but at an angle it's not catching my eye. Never was a huge fan of Vorsteiner's lip though. They always had a snowplow feel to em.

Looks good directly from the front, but not from an angle or side.

Currently, the only online option I see is from AutoID. However, it being a Vorsteiner product, I'm sure many other online retailers will sell it. I'll be reaching out to Justin from AutoTalent since he hooked me up my Vorsteiner wheels a few years back. But it's Christmas, so I'll leave him alone for now

I agree with this perspective. I feel that all g80 lips have this flaw.

Hit us up if you go for the lip. Can sort something out for sure.

We are an authorized Vorsteiner dealer.

Front lips are currently in production and have a 5-6 week wait time - we're taking preorders in the meantime. No ETA on other items at the moment, but will be released later down the road.

is it really worth buying a 2400$ lip just for it to get busted by terrible roads. just my opinion if you live some where you know the roads are terrible for example new york. they are nice options out there like ct carbon has a nice lip for 800$ or a replica lip off eBay will do just fine, lets face it 90% of people cant tell the diffrence legit carbon weave and chinese knock off

The value proposition is up to the individual. Is it really worth spending $85k on a car that does the same thing as a $20k one? To each his/her own. While the comparison is stretching it a bit, I feel like a $2,400 lip is worth it if I like it enough - which in this case I do.

However, the end part of your comment misses the point. I don't buy parts for other's visual enjoyment, I do it for mine! There are nice lips out there, no doubt, but I enjoy the idea of supporting Vorsteiner because I do genuinely like their product. I'm sure a replica of this will eventually come up, but if I'm spending $1k or so on a replica piece, then I feel it's worth it to pony up a bit more money for guaranteed fitment (even if there were issues, I know Vorsteiner would support the product) and the happiness that comes from knowing I'm supporting Vorsteiner and their future endeavours/R&D by not buying a replica/knockoff. The M performance knockoffs are understandable as supporting BMW in that sense is different, but I personally couldn't buy a knockoff of a Vorsteiner lip, or an RSC lip, or 3d designs for that reason alone. If everyone bought replicas and never the original, then these companies wouldn't feel justified in dumping the time/effort/money into creating these products.

Small rant, but just my .02 cents.

i understand where you're coming from, I think it would just suck spending 2400$ for a part that may break from something that may not be your fault. you are in new york so you know the roads arent exactly lip friendly. but you are right if you like something enough buy it, it's your money and your car at the end of the day.
