What colour should I order?

Ordered a M3C Xdrive currently in Brooklyn Grey with 826m Black wheels, red calipers + exterior carbon pack
the spec is getting locked in soon for a july production and they want me to finalize the color
currently tossing between brooklyn grey or portimao blue,
haven't seen the blue in person,

I know colours are all subjective but would appreciate any input

The other exterior options you've picked will really pop against the BG.

Between the two, BG I guess. Just that it's on everything these days from Civics to Pick Ups.

I agree there, it seems to be getting put on all types of vehicles lately. I will say though, the G8x seems to wear it the best.

This is an obvious statement, but you want us to pick a color for you? What issues thoughts or concerns are you having with the different colors? Perhaps that might help us give you a more useful opinion other than "this is the color I like [for you]"

That said, PB doesn't excite me too much. It's nice, but too close to Estoril for me and that color is now like 6 years old in the BMW line up having been in the last generation. And personally I wanted a color that wasn't available on the regular cars to make mine feel a little more special to me. So, for those reasons, no PB for me. As for BG, I haven't seen it in person to be able to have an informed opinion on it.

I'm going with Portimao because I can't get Santorini. I like blue, but not too dark (such as Tanzanite). I do like the greys, and might consider Skyscraper if blue cars wasn't such a thing for me. I've seen PB in person, overcast rainy day. It, like many colours, aren't really exciting in those conditions. I'm considering xpel stealth on mine, because what I really wanted was Frozen Portimao without the complications that frozen or matte finishes entail.

I had an Audi RS5 in what they call Quantum Grey. Ended up hating the color. No pop to colors like that. But it's your ride and your choice. Good luck and enjoy

No, but logistically and financially not feasible. Apparently Canadians get screwed. It'll be ~$9000 and a 5 month production delay. That delay also means delivery in 2022, after a new vehicle luxury tax kicks in for any vehicle over $100k CAD.

I want a lighter blue, but not that much. Instead, I'm going to get Portimao and getting quotes on xpel including stealth to give it the satin look and protection without the extra complications that come frozen paint.

That's insane. We may not get super bright headlights in the US but at least we get some relatively reasonable pricing compared to other places.

It is. Frustrating development in the saga, but it is what it is. Sometimes Canadians can't have all the nice things unless we move south

LOL

I don't blame the current government. The extra luxury tax sucks, but it motivates me to get the car by year-end. I'm in that "can afford the car due to my discipline and planning" financial state, not at the "I don't care about the cost, this will be my Tuesday car while I save my Mclaren for the weekends" stage.

I know I could take my career to WA state with no income tax and all the rest of the benefits. I'd rather keep my high taxes, standard paint only (and I know you like the Portimao too), and still be in Canada.

Grapes won't be back, I can't see him joining us in the current century and drop the bigot schtick any time soon. It's his brand. Unfortunately, his brand sucks. I go to Kevin Bieksa for my commentary truth-telling now.

Lol I would gladly pay 100k for a M3. My M3 XDrive was priced at 200k before discounts in Australia. The luxury car tax is about 21k alone.

Tuff call there. That blue is available across the BMW line but I think it looks pretty good. Would have preferred they offered the gorgeous m exclusive Marina bay Blue.

That said I voted the blue as the Brooklyn Grey looks dull

LOL, I just voted and it's exactly even.

I have BG, but I love that blue (and that's what I voted for).

When I was going to order, I had decided on the Isle of Green but if I had to do it all over again, I'd probably just get it in black because it looks so awesome.
