This isn't first hand experience, but I ran into someone with a BG/KO G82 over the weekend. I got to talking to him at the red light. He said he loves everything about the car other than the seats (which are the carbon buckets). He was a bigger guy and this was maybe a 20 second convo, but he was not at all a fan.
Nothing earth shattering and I think its been said that bigger individuals may have a tougher time, but thought it might be cautionary for those of you who are buying just for the looks. It would suck to get something and you hate/be uncomfortable driving it for the next 3, 4, 5 + years.

I'm 220 6'2 and they're perfectly snug. If I go back to winter weight of 230 I'll have a really hard time I'm sure. Just a good reason to stay in shape lol |

I am undecided about the seats. I sat on the carbon bucket seats, and they were comfortable and supportive but getting in and out seemed like a big hassle. I am not very tall so when trying to get out my left foot kind of hangs from the edge of the bucket. I am not sure it will be comfortable day in and out. Also, it will be a disaster for ladies wearing skirts to get in and out of the front seat. For those who’ve had the carbon seats for a while, what do you think of them?

Has anyone tried exiting the seats backwards? Like getting out ass first? Does that make sense? Haha I feel like this is a good option but didn't try it when I tested seats.

If any of you larger guys find the carbon buckets too uncomfortable I'll swap mine with cash your way of course! Orange interior
I've a feeling when the novelty wears off some folks may want to swap if they don't find them comfortable |

I had the buckets in my f80 comp and I have the regular seats in my g82 comp. There is a whole hell of a lot more to digest with the new seats, because there are so many points of adjustment. After playing around with it, the regular seats are so much more comfortable to me. I'm 6', 190 for reference. At this point, I wouldn't take the buckets even if they were the same price. This is just my personal opinion based on experience with both.
Edit: also keep in mind there is no ventilated option with buckets for those who live in warmer climates

For those with wives/gf, have them try the CF seats. I’m fine with either but my wife (who is fit), not so much. Guess which was ordered lol

My solution for the bucket seats
Occasionally I have to drive and accompany my 81 yr. old mother to the doctor, hospital etc. She is awaiting surgery for a knee replacement and can barely walk across the street. When I had the F82 CS I always had to help her get out, the doors only had the pull loops which are useless if you have to pull yourself out.
She absolutely loves the M4 and sits in it proud as a peacock so I had to find a solution for the buckets in my new G82. We came up with the idea of filling the bucket with a pillow and that worked like a charm. She has shrunk to about 5ft. over the years but with the seat at the right height she can get in and out without my help, amazing! So I ordered a nice deluxe black pillow to put on the back seat and find myself using it also when working on the inside of the car or for short drives, grocery shopping etc. Highly recommended!

my wife is 5'1 and 100lbs, she's probably going to hate the CF buckets, then again she told me to order what I want

if you are overweight they probably won't work, if you are of good weight, then they are an amazing option. They increase the aesthetics of the car tremendously and surprisingly comfortable with plenty of cushion for how thin they look. They require a bit more effort to get out of due to the higher thigh bolstering, but this is marginal compared to the f80 competition seats.

I tried the bucket seats, I am comfortable in them but getting in and out is a pain and incredibly annoying as a DD. It feels like getting in and out of a bath tub compared to my F80 comp seats...I find the middle carbon cap very annoying too. the bottom cushion bolstering is way too aggressive for a road car. The the leather on the bottom bolsters will wrinkle and become unsightly after a few years of use... do NOT buy these without trying them based on what others tell you.
I am 5'8" 150 lbs.

I've ordered mine with the bucket seats and I'm 5'11" 250lbs. I practice weightlifting (like snatch, clean and jerk) and do have sizable thighs. The car is not gonna be my daily driver but I'm still pretty nervous.

Since I made this post, I acquired a G80 with carbon buckets myself. Personal experience so far is these are great for all canyon roads and not too bad for distanced driving. Butt and thighs do get tired after a few hours but worth it for how great the seat is. Warning though: if you find yourself over an average build, you may not want these seats as some of my friends have had trouble.

I have had the buckets for nearly 2 months and decided to add to this thread. I am not "average-sized". I am 6'-5" tall and have long legs for my height, and I weigh 200lbs, so I am not overweight. It is my only car and is used mostly for short trips, so lots of getting in and out. I find them comfortable and I don't find access a problem. The thinner seat back and seat position give me the sense of more leg room, which is a big plus. One negative is that I normally carry my wallet in my back pocket and I find that uncomfortable on long trips. If I need to get something out of a pocket, I generally find it easier to stop and get out. When I tried to store my wallet in the glove box, I forgot it about half the time. I have learned to put my wallet next to my phone in the wireless charger for any significant trip. If I start to get out, a warning pops up on the dash to get my phone. I am then forced to remember the wallet. If I were choosing again, I would still go with the buckets.

I tested the CF seats at my local dealer and they are a deal breaker for me.
Im 5ft 11, 240lbs and it is really annoying to get in and specially out (for real), as well as the central CF part seems like out of place and I constantly hit it while driving. They look super cool, but I wont ever take them as my DD. Standards are very protective and sporty and comfortable too, so in general I think they are a better choice for a DD. Not to mention female passengers, wearing a skirt or night dress, as they will be in real trouble to get out without help or hitting other parts of the car. IMHO!

For those of you who have sat in both...do the regular sport seats give you a similar low seated positive the buckets, or can they at least be adjusted to feel close? Or are you riding super high in the sport seats?
