Finally got my car!!!
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I have barely put any miles on the car due to my busy weekend. Initial impressions...the car is planted, tons of grip, steering feels great, and the car is really thirsty. One thing i'm not impressed with, as we all know, is the exhaust note. Car is too quiet. I'll be placing an order soon on the exhaust. Will be going with the Remus race cat back exhaust. Enjoy the pics! |

Congrats!!!
Noticed the rubber floor mat covers part of the gas pedal - is that normal? Seems a little dangerous. |

Congrats! Your car looks great! Where did you take it for ceramic? Are you happy with the result?
I'm in the Houston area too. My car has been at the VPC in Spartanburg with the camera module stop sale since 10/14. I guess I should have just had them send to the dealer instead of requesting Performance Center Delivery! I'm going to get PPF installed in Greenville, SC before driving home. Will do ceramic in Houston. |

Personally, if all you're needing is ceramic coating then just do it yourself. You can get a bottle from Amazon for around $100. Will take couple of hours out of your time. Make sure car is nice and clean before application. Also take into account ceramic coating for PPF vs bare paint. They have different ones for each. |

Those are to keep mud and water out of the carpets. They're typically purchased by people who live in snowy areas. But I guess Houston can get bad weather too. If you trim the rubber down, you lose some protection.

Congrats for the car.
Question: Since this is a brand new paint, why the everybody doing ceramic coat? It's not a overkill? I really like apply that plastic on the front bumper/hood to protect. Thanks |

Multiple reasons for ceramic coating, especially when the paint is brand new. So you can preserve the look of the car. The coating will create a barrier and protect it from scratches, bird droppings, road grime, water stains, and any other substances that may harm the paint. If you get ceramic coating down the road, you'll probably want to have the paint corrected before applying. In my mind, it's best to have it ceramic coated when the paint is fresh if that's an option.

1) It's a lot less paint correction is required when the car is brand new, regardless even if its fresh off the boat, it requires some. 2) Everything is like you when it your significant other is in a bad mood, it just lays off and stays away. Water, dirt, finger prints. SiO2 is oh to good. |
