Post MY2022 Order and Pricing Guides when?

I'd love to see the 2022 order guides since MY21 End of Production is next month. When do they usually publish these things? Looking at the 2021 guide I guess they come out one month ahead of Start of Production so we'll see the 2022 guide next month.

I'm really hoping we see the 2022 guides soon as well. I reached out to my dealership this afternoon to see if they had any indication yet if the May allocations will be for 2021 or 2022 builds but they didn't know and said they likely won't know until at least the middle of the month.

I'm just hoping that now that I've been bumped to a 2022 model don't miss out on any particular options due to chip shortages, etc.

UK rumors say xDrive cars are able to be ordered May 5th so I would guess that's 2022 order guide day if they're correct.

This is what I heard too from others, but I'm a bit skeptical.

My UK dealership informed ordering details would become available end of May/beginning of June..

So worst case scenario we would need to wait another 4 weeks.

I'm going to be the pessimist and say mid May is more like late May.

I've asked the sales manager I've been talking to, pending response. I'm expecting it to be soon, while obsessively checking the configurator.

US configurator usually lags. Order guides should hit first.

I wouldn't be surprised if all 2022 guides are delayed even longer than usual as bmw figures out what they are going to do about options and package setup for 2022 given the chip shortages... remember the order guide isnt intended as a customer facing communication its really for dealer staff to guide them through the option systems, they don't actually need to publish an order guide for orders to begin as long as the allocations open and the system is up to date.

as far as ordering in ROW its much easier for them as there is no "transition to a new model year" they dont use the model year system like NA and a few other regions. The xdrive cars are just an "in year feature addition"

SA said no Harmon Kardon in 2022’s due to supply issues. You guys hear anything that would confirm this?

A CA posted another thread that said no laserlights on M4s or optional HK sound. Laserlights will remain available for M3s and HK sound will be included where standard. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1822818

If they are pulling the HK out if not standard then what is replacing it? Isnt HK the base version of the Stereo for M3/M4?

I was in at a dealer on Friday for my wife's X5. They have no ETA on order guides and one SA I trust was vocal about the chip shortage definitely affecting production sooner than later and possibly more than just laser lights and HK.

I have time To wait if i have to but not sure how long it's going to take to recover back to normal from the shortages.

HK is not impacted if it's the standard equipment.

The concern is that for 2022, it might not be standard anymore.

What does that mean then? No radio? What would replace the HK?

My CA says we often have better info sooner on the forums here than they do. No ETA on guides or Start of Production (SOP) dates is the same I heard but that's because they dont publish it until they do. If you look at last years the order guides get posted a month before SOP. If MY21 EOP is June and MY22 SOP is July then the order guides should be out the first week of June.

No idea. When I ordered my 2015, the HK was optional. The standard was unbranded.
