I check daily because I'm not scheduled to go into production until April 19 (getting an individual color pushed me from March 10 to April 19). I finally went into "scheduled for production" status (112 status).

My first F80 I hyper stalked and even paid $30 for a satellite subscription to track the Thalatta (the vessel I was on) across the Atlantic. Based on monitoring which ships were in and out of port I was actually able to figure out which ship I was on 3 days before Bmw Genius had the info....

Once it was on the boat, I used the satellite subscription to check its speed every hour for weeks.....

I learned quite a bit about myself as a person throughout this experience.

I'm week 17 and still at 111. Hoping this week I go to 112.

Lol. I have some memory of signing up for a free subscription to one of those ship tracking sites there was enough to get me through the voyage. Although, I may not have checked it hourly.

So, that additional two months for the paint was all prior to production? Once it goes into production it goes normal speed? Mine started production a few days ago

Once production started, because I wanted to document each step, I checked morning and evening especially because of the time difference. There were days where I moved, two steps at once.

I may be pathetic enough to have my browser open the "my garage" page every time the browser starts, but I haven't paid for satellite tracking.

I'm pretty sure the Munich plant runs 3 shifts 7 days a week.

EDIT: I checked with a client of mine who supplies BMW and Munich actually runs 3 shifts 5 days week. Of course minus holidays, and Germany has loads of those.

Sure, I'm keeping track of my progress as well and check several times a day to see if I've moved to the next dot, but I can only document that 2 things happened in 1 day so I only need to check once a day for documentation purposes.

I checked mine when I got up this morning and nothing had changed. I checked it again a couple hours later and it changed to production begins!!!!!! So yes check it often and every hour lol as I am now going to stalk it even more now. Looks like it's going to be earlier than originally expected to which is a plus.

So got my production number March 8th. March 12th it was scheduled for production and now March 22nd production begins. Awesome!

This week was scheduled as my build week, but it went to "production begins" last Thursday and has been stuck there since. I'm not sure exactly what happens at that stage. I will admit that I have checked it much more often since moving to that status. Still no change as of just now.

From what I've gathered it can sit in the "production begins" status for around 5 day's but there may be movement that just hasn't shown up yet. As others have stated sometimes the My BMW site we check can be a couple of days behind what's actually happening.

Hopefully once it gets off of the "production begins" status things will move along quickly.

I feel your pain though as it can be agonizing checking and no movement lol. But hey were getting there bud and were much closer now than most and where we were a month ago. We'll have these dudes by May hopefully right in the peak of nice weather.

Yea, that's what I've seen on here. I'm going to call them after I get off work today. I'm just hoping my paint doesn't add a ton of time. But May sounds reasonable.

EDIT: I couldn't wait til after work. They tell me completion date scheduled for 3/29 which includes the individual paint. I asked and she checked and said they do detour it off the line for the painting and then 'quickly' back on to it.

LOL! That's funny you couldn't wait and called before. Sounds familiar to me!

That's not bad considering your getting individual paint. Awesome!

Do build dates move up often?

I just got my allocation over the weekend and scheduled for a week of May 16th build. Obviously I'm not expecting a miracle and for it to move into production in the next week or two but would it be reasonable that it could potentially move into production sometime in late April instead?

And to confirm, the May 16th week is the week it should finish production versus starting if I've read the various tracking threads correctly?

I don't know if often is the right word but it definitely seems like there are a fair amount of people on here who have had their dates moved up some. Some by maybe a few days like mine and some even a few weeks. Can't hurt to be hopeful. I know I was.

Mine was in Entering Assembly Line yesterday and switched to Quality Check this morning. In the last hour or so, it went from Quality Check to Awaiting Carrier Assignment in the last hour. My production completion date is March 23rd so perhaps tomorrow it will switch to Dispatched from Factory.

I went from week 10 to 12 to 13 to 15 and mine just started last Friday, I think I may have gotten moved up a week to 14. I think right now it's week 12, assuming 2 weeks to complete.
