If July is the semi-official production date then based on everything already said above and the fact that I have been lurking on these forums for years prior to my first post years ago I would say AWD would be the following:
Anyone on the "lists" would be able to place AWD order at earliest mid/late June. Autos arrive sometime in October at earliest or November at latest.

Put my deposit down today, 2021 M4 Comp mXdriver, no allocation yet but they said I am near the top of the list for May when the receive allocation. SA did say June production July delivery, not sure how accurate that is.

Not accurate... if you receive their first allocation AND they are lucky enough to get a slot in the FIRST week of July AND bmw has no hold on 2022s at port or at dealer AND the stars align on shipping you might see your car the last week of august... more likely sept maybe oct

I'm still waiting on the call from my dealer that ordering guides for AWDs have opened. Anyone received any updates on those? Mid-April was one of the anticipated milestones.

I ordered a July 28th 2020 production 2021 M2C last year and it arrived at the dealer in Portland, OR on 9/23. I’m wondering if G80 xDrive production will follow a similar timeline for west coast deliveries.

Bmw has made no major changes to their supply chain.... so yes that timing is a good estimate given that build date

He's in Europe maybe they've started taking orders? I don't see AWD in any of the Euro configurators yet though.

i just heard similar info yesterday however they are speculating there could be a lot of demo cars for the first batch so my order may not be until later in July with delivery likely being October. September is possible however unlikely.
I said the heck with it, just going to take a rwd and switch to awd next year. The wait is not bearable, thought it would be however I was wrong. Saw one in the showroom spec'd how I wanted it and it took my breath away (and money). |

Will order M3C near end of year of early next year. My current M340 loan will be up then. Wife needs new car before that too. She wants a Range Rover, trying to sell her on a X5m

I think those dates are "best case" as best. My lease on my m550 runs out in early September. On the positive side covid has me home 100% remote to the end of the year so wife and I are going to drop to just her car if my M3 doesn't show up in time. Probably the only nice thing about Covid if you ask me.

This may be some sort of progress; the latest episode of BMWs "Explained" series covers the MxDrive.
https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1817323 I was hoping to get a shot if any badging but you do see the option setup in iDrive. |
