Don’t hold your breath.

Just a few weeks ago BMW unveiled a i4 and iX with the same design language and front end. And they made a pretty big deal about it. That doesn’t read like a company who cares that some people don’t like the front end treatment.

That sure would be nice & I'll have to check that out on the BMW website.

I mean come on guys, there is literally no car manufactor out there that gives you so much bang for bucks, they did a lot to this car and it is amazing.

Of course it is subjective if you like the design, but regarding the price they did a lot.
he says it right, charger wide body is just body panels attached. other manufactor don't do shit in this price range...
With that mindset, you can always find worse somewhere else...
That new M3 isn't especially cheap either, of course you need to prfioritize what's important too. If that was at the cost of the amazing chassis then ok ... but i think it's rather stuck with the designer's will to make things abrasive / agressive and remove all possible clues of elegance in the design.

I never said it's cheap, but find anything else offering what the M3/M4 does in its price range.

That's the point.

They did a lot to improve the driving of this car, just check the videos of the technical section.

And again:
aestethics are completely subjective. I understand that a lot of people don't like the design, I initially also wasn't friend with it. But regarding tech etc. it offers the most in this price class, imo at least.

There's another thread on this and it does seem pretty split, but my last few cars have not had sunroofs and I honestly don't miss it. I absolutely love the LOOK of the CF roof on my F82 especially when I've just cleaned it and the sun is shining on the weave. So it is more of a looks thing I suppose than function, at least on the road which is where I do all my driving.

When I had my 328Ci coupe that did have a sunroof, which combined with the opening rear quarter windows of the E46 Coupe (a feature that would be nice to have on the F/G82) and the frameless front windows, almost made it feel like a convertible when it was all opened up.

Having said that I very rarely (like maybe twice the whole time I owned it) actually drove the 328Ci like that and can barely remember driving with the roof open, also 99.9% of the time I drove with the roof blind shut too as I didn't like the glare.

So each to their own I guess, but personally I couldn't forgive myself if I ordered/bought one of the current M cars that have CF roof as standard and then got a metal roof to get something I'll barely use

P.S. I never use roof rails/bars either, so that's another thing thats not bothered me about the CF roof, which seems to come up on this forum.

The side and rear look pretty good on the sedan but I'm not so much of a fan of the coupe rear window the way they finished up the greenhouse. I'm sure the car will get love and hate from crowds but one thing is for sure this will be a tuner hit and will make gobs of power.
Like you, I dislike the front. The car does have a lot of content. Lack of manual trans is a turn off. If I was buyer, which I am not, I would go with the base M3.

Wouldn't be so sure on the Tuner bit and gobs of power. EPA, in the US, is starting to crack down on tuners and modified tunes.

Also, didn't I hear that the ECU is locked down??

Yeah that's all very fair, it all comes down to personal preference. I always have the shade open and if I'm not on the highway the actual roof is always open. So for me it adds to the experience of driving.

I've never had a problem with them and would much prefer to have a sunroof, but I'll take looks over function in the M's.

It's much easier to satisfy Joan Camry who just needs to get to her kids at soccer practice.

You just can't buff out any minor marks is the only difference. It's easier to maintain regards to washing on the flip side though.

It's ok, nothing wrong with choosing a competitor lol, enough people like it as is, those who don't have many viable options. Can't please everyone; if I had the same option it would be the G80 without hesitation. However, I understand looks is subjective so can't fault someone for liking what they like. There are people who feels the RS5 is ugly in the front too and then there are those who finds it very appealing.

It would be interesting to see what people choose 3 years from now given a choice of this grill versus a more traditional grille
