He makes very good points, especially the exterior.

I just don't get how people can complain for example "the doors would have to be redesigned because it looks fugly how it stands out on the rear arche".

I mean come on guys, there is literally no car manufactor out there that gives you so much bang for bucks, they did a lot to this car and it is amazing.

Of course it is subjective if you like the design, but regarding the price they did a lot.
he says it right, charger wide body is just body panels attached. other manufactor don't do shit in this price range...

Man that spec is sweet in the frozen paint with silverstone buckets! Great looking shots of it in the video. Once again the driving reviews have been excellent for this car. Can't wait to get mine and try it out.

Thanks for posting this review. It is a more reasonable review... Except that I would forgo the CF Seats... like he said at the end concerning the sunroof.. 5% of it's life maybe on the track... M Sport seats are a much better choice in the long run.

I agree with your assessment and I have to say I agree. I particularly really dislike the front end and I'm not a potential buyer due to the looks but I bet the car drives amazing and the interior is the best one bmw has ever done on an M car. The side and rear look pretty good on the sedan but I'm not so much of a fan of the coupe rear window the way they finished up the greenhouse. I'm sure the car will get love and hate from crowds but one thing is for sure this will be a tuner hit and will make gobs of power.

I forgot about the seatbelts. A nice touch.

Yet another compromise for picking the manual. Oh well.

While I'm over the front end thing and don't view it as a deal killer, I actually know a guy who just got an Audi RS5 because the he deemed the front of the M4 as "ugly."

I'd suggest for the LCI, BMW at least offer a more traditional front end option.

Great review. I did pick the frozen blue with orange interior and initially chose the sunroof over the carbon roof but then my wife convinced me for carbon roof as it looked better (agree it does look better).
After watching this video .. I'm back to contemplating 🤔
I have never taken my cars on the track but planning to track once I get m3 but if I think practical.. I think it might be few times a yr at most.

As I am waiting for X- Drive option. Should I go sunroof or carbon roof? 😀

His conclusion is resonating with me. I grew up around the M3 and enjoyed several of them in my life, still owning the e92. M3 is the icon badge for BMW Motorsport.....which is being superseded by the M2 going forward. It is all part of the evolution that cars have been unfortunately going through, but as long as we get an M2, M3 and M4 it doesn't matter right

We're a little fortunate here that we get them on all models.

I had a sunroof on my E92. I loved it and agree, you'd never notice the weight in a car with a back seat.

So, naturally when I ordered my G80 I took the carbon roof because I love contradicting myself.

At first I wasn't a fan of the front end design but after seeing it in person today I have to say the exterior design of the G80 in particular looks so f#n good. The front end looks totally different in real life compared to any pics or videos. For me it is one of those instances where 'it has to be seen to be appreciated'. The front end combined with the overall exterior design elements make for a very good looking M3.

Actually , people tend to love it more and more as time passes. The controversial looks , will be soon forgotten as soon as other models in the lineup adapt the vertical grills. As for the driving dynamics etc , every new car is faster than its previous generation. Althought , faster doesnt mean better , i believe the G80/2 will be a succesful machines

I think what amazes me most about this review is how dude just smashes the gas and sends it like a mad man around every turn while casually reviewing the car at the same time. LOL. He is not giving any fucks at all. DSC for the win!

Would the CF roof really make noticeable different in driving characteristics vs sunroof on the track?

This is a heavy car as it is. If somebody wanted a lightweight track weapon they'd probably have opted for another car. Sunroof is the way to go, especially in gloomier climates where there's already not a lot of light entering the cabin. Personally I'd never buy a car without a sunroof.

You know what they say about a sunroof - it's a hole in a perfectly good roof.

I love sunroofs, but every one I've had has started to squeak and creak after while, and I do find the carbon fiber roof really pops. I saw an alpine white M3 with a moonroof the other day and it looked so blah
