You said first resonator. What did you mean by that?

Is it reversible? Obviously it would require another cut and weld.

I assume you just hold on to the original resonator and then have it welded back in place?

I think the shop is messing with you... they flipped your license plate bracket after the delete.

Besides that, sounds great!

Edit: looks to be two different cars. Lol

Great stuff here, as Ive done this on my M8 GC as well... not sure if you answered but thoughts on pulling both suitcases out? (M8 only has one)

I cant believe these cars have so many restrictions and still sound good too.

That's the plan but I don't think it's necessary since it's just a tiny bit louder

Eventually the 2nd suitcase needs to go, or the 2nd cat. Can't decide on which to take on first

I get it, its crazy- double cats double resonators

I think Im going to get a G80 tomorrow and will roll over to my muffler shop to get both pulled. Thats the easier fix early on as I dont know who has catless secondaries out.

Here is my M8 GC Comp with the secondary cats and resonator pulled (no second res on this car)- its plenty loud on boost and revs but also has the different engine set up.

Its a simple reversal:

keep the part and go back, they rack and cut the straight and weld back the resonator.

FYI BMW FS uses 3rd party inspectors to review lease returns and they would never catch the resonator pull. They dont rack cars to inspect nor are they that skilled to understand the tonal change. They just come, inspect and sign off. Then the car either goes to the factory auction lane or the dealer buys it at a discounted number.

This mod wont cause a smog issue... most smog testing is now via obdII with no sniff.
