Really exciting progress guys! Thank you for the update. I especially enjoyed hearing about the development on the totally stock setup... these are crazy numbers so early in the lifespan of this engine

Awesome!

I always felt like this was a monster of an engine!
Not that high of boost for those numbers 210kpa/2.1bar/30.5psi.

Yes its a pump gas that available in different parts of Europe but its 102RON ,US equivalent would be about 97(R+M)/2

Also the dyno isn't a regular engine brake dyno.
The engine looks too be connected through a transmission and a axle to two Dynapack dynos.
Essentially as the engine would be in the car but its not.

That's awesome, but I'll be surprised if it lasts a month before bending a rod or something. At least someone is finding the weaknesses/limits of the engine.

Confirmed: S58 Stock Internals handling over 1000hp.

I couldn't find this using the search feature, but here it is:

Amazing results, the bottom end on this engine is overkill!

Very interesting!

What I've gathered from the video:
- 100% stock engine is good up to about 700-750hp (that includes stock turbos, stock fuel system)
- this is where we will max out with Stage 2 tunes with catless downpipes and E85
- and this will literally cost like $1500 ($600 for BM3, $600 for down pipes)

- Up to 1050hp is possible on stock engine internals with upgraded turbos, upgraded fuel system/port injection and cooling system
- my thoughts on this point is that this will cost around 10k-12k but that's incredibly cheap for that kind of level of power
- the question here is how the transmission will handle it

I am hoping someone quickly develops an aftermarket clutch for this car so the 6mt folks can push a little more power. I am assuming that is our limiting factor as of right now.

Exactly what I was going to ask. I think most of us would expect an engine to run to 120k miles with no major issues, but running 1,000hp??

Transmission, differentials and even other components would be subject to more stress. This is not as easy as "let's deploy 1000hp and never look back".

There's a few threads on the forums where we discuss this topic I'm surprised to see this make front page but I'm glad it did. To make almost 1100hp and almost 1300nm of torque which is about 950 ft lbs of torque from a stock bottom end head work motor only is insane and as I said several times in plenty threads this platform will fly.. on stock turbos it will go 9's in the 1/4 for sure!

Also the transmission will hold up for sure because there's a few S63TU platform vehicles that's pushing 4 digit hp and so far not a slip.. the Zed F seems to be holding up quite well.

Definitely! The Traction control on these new cars is insane, but we are judging it by how it handles "500hp." No telling how TC will handle 700hp.
