Aftermarket midpipe?

Looks like Valvetronic designs is going the midpipe route, what do you guys think?

OPFs are not easy to remove and also require software changes. You can make it louder without removing the OPF.

If you can, I'd wait until more manufacturers come out with their own Equal Length offerings, that way you have options. Right now it is not very easy to get an equalized exhaust and many people are waiting in backlog. You probably don't want to throw your money into something, have to wait 3-6 months, and then find out it doesn't live up to expectations.

Moreover, the fundamental shift in the sound/pitch is due to equalizing the exhaust piping and that isn't a concept that is owned by any single manufacturer. They will all have their own designs which all achieve the same thing - a more balanced & harmonious equalized exhaust note. You can check out the Equal Length exhaust thread on F80post for more detail and feedback on different vendors, including Valvetronic.
