Looks like a less aggressive Audi RS5 with hideous grill.

Nothing about this design is BMW except the headlights.

I have to admit that this is maybe the best looking front-render I've seen. Unfortunately still many details do not correspond to what we have seen so far.

Here is my guess of how the rear view could look like.

Hm. I think it started to grow on me, looks a lot like a RS5 though which is sexy AF.

Looks like an Infiniti with an eBay BMW body kit and a hideous grille.

Tragic

Looks great and the front is not to my taste. I especially like the way the side vents are more integrated into the front fenders and the bulky rear panels that gives it a muscular stance. Those are my favorite details on this.

You lost me at looks good & proportional. I have the complete opposite reaction of that. But, everything else is quite nice actually.

Rear diffuser and rear window line are more un-BMW than the grill.

I’m sure IND will come out with some sort of modified grill maybe with some body color to make the front end look better.

I think the grill will be bigger judging by spy shots.

Grill is a disaster, albeit not on the level of Lexus. I realize a rear diffuser is more cosmetic than functional on a road car (Ferrari being one exception), but when even a Camry offers a nice looking design, why can't BMW?

If this didn't have badges all over it one would never know it was a BMW. There's nothing left of it! For those who love the design- why have you stuck with BMW so long and not gone to a Japanese luxury brand?

That looks very good and close to the camouflaged mule.

The G82 M4 shape is looking great. Very muscular and low slung.

I'd guess it's because it's possible to love both the way a car looks and the way it performs, and if you have any interest in the latter, you are not treading anywhere near a Japanese luxury car dealership.

One could just as easily ask those who don't care about performance, why be concerned about the aesthetics of an ultra high performance sport sedan/coupe?

And it's not like the Japanese have anything that's even close in comparison

This is thread is showing signs of what normally happens.

The new design feelings progression:

Terrible, BMW is dead to me > old designs are better > ok, that render looks better > in person the car looks great > when will BMW apply this to all models > hey guys, look at my new BMW!

Forget the renderings. This is what the car will look like.
