Only think I like is the wheels and we can't even use them for older cars cause the bolt pattern changed.

The side skirts stick out a lot almost like steps.

This front end is awful. The hood lines conflict with each other. The wings inside the grill... just what? I've never seen an uglier race car. What a shame, especially since the M8 GTE looks so good.

I've been a vocal proponent of the new design language since the beginning. I'm glad I like it because if I didn't, I'd still get it for the 6MT.

Now, however, and i can't f***ing believe I'm saying this, I'm going for the G82 over the G80. I have owned 8 cars in my life, all 4 doors, but the G82 looks like an exotic (as others have pointed out).

I can't wait for next year races to see the new GT3 in action even in testing mode.

I owned an E92 M3, currently drive an F82 M4 and can't wait for the G82!

Bad:

everything forward of the front axle is hideous.

Good:

when you don't see the front the car looks pretty decent.

I absolutely love the black brake calipers. If I had CCB I'd definitely rid myself of tacky 'look at me' gold calipers for the stealth black look.

Please correct me if I am wrong but looking at the current line up, G8X is the first one with horizontal grill lines as opposed to vertical.

Yes, the grill is massive but also that 90 degree change on the grill lines is a look I am not really used to.

Guess we'll see if it ever grows on us.

There are a lot of things I like. Some I don't. But that's how it goes in the auto industry.

The front and hood still an unknown for me.

Looking more like a baby M8 coupe.

No badging on the rear?

This will be killer with M Performance Parts. Clearly this is a ploy from BMW to get you to add on the bits and bobs for $$ because what I see here looks good but also not super aggressive. I feel like the stock F80/82 looked more aggressive.

You can actually visualize all black not being as repulsive from these pics (if you squint haha), however the front end is still a mess and door lines just don't flow.

I'm seeing the M4 in highlighter yellow with the wetsuit seats tomorrow at Monticello. Expectations aren't that high and I already know what to expect. Should be interesting though seeing it in the metal in the tent...
