I ordered my plates in April and I picked it up yesterday. It's a DMV service, but I went through my local AAA branch to do the application and plate pickup (smaller lines and a lot closer to my house). The website says 6-8 weeks, but realistically I'd expect 6-8 months. Whatcha end up picking for your plate?

That's crazy. I got my new tags within 3 weeks of taking delivery and then got my new personalize plate within 2 weeks of ordering it.

If may have been because I bought it in Maryland, my brother just got a new truck and it only took 2 weeks to get his plates. Who knows it's the DMV

I'm swapping this license plate out early 2022 (as soon as I'm able to register the car in Michigan), in case another Michigander is rockin' a G80. I'd originally planned to get an M3 and secured this plate while I was awaiting an allocation. One couldn't be found, but an M4 allocation became available .. hence my chosen plate no longer fits.

And I settled on that new plate weeks ago. To quote Winston Churchill, "It's a puzzle, wrapped in a mystery, ..." in describing the intentions and interests of Russia in 1939.

Moved my F80 plate to the G80. Anyone who did comms in the military will get it.

Thought of getting my wife's X7 with the reply but I think its better to pretend folks I pass on highway say it instead lol.

I have the new one visualized in WWW, and I'm not so sure. It could be a "near miss" with respect to color, and the the Water Winter Wonderland text takes up a lot of real estate. The PM style offers contrast and simplicity.

Got my allocation for my G80. Production number issued. Hoping to get build week shortly. Went with an individual color, Frozen Dark Gray. Hence the plate. Super excited!

My car is yet to go in production but I've already ordered the plates. There are 3Ms for the M3 in the name and it's got M and my nick name. 😃

Maybe this is an Illinois thing - but the dealer delivers the car with plates installed. So at least I had no wait for my normal registration...but then waited a couple months for my vanity plates. In honor of the late Sabine Schmitz.

I clearly remember having my new car delivered with yellow temp tags, but that was back in '02.

I've currently got three special order plates:

M TOWN - M2 CS,

ODLSIHT (M235i & 420i M Sport), and

M4 CSL (plates allocated on 20210515, awaiting car allocation now lol)

Anyone guessed the true meaning of the middle plate?

Maybe it's changed? I moved here in '06, and my '13 Ford and '22 BMW came with a real plate installed and first year's registration rolled in to the purchase price. I do remember my '03 Focus came with temp tags in Missouri though.
