It's all a matter of opinion. Both surfaces require maintenance to avoid either looking like crap in short order.

I just don't understand how this could be one-off yet they forced 150 Kith cars down our throats.

I think KITH was a partnership in which the teamed up to build a certain amount of cars. This is more of just a collaboration, where the 2 got together and just let Alcantara do their thing. Just opinion.

This article is spot on. Alcantara sucks on high touch areas.

It’s no big deal. Clean the Alcantara once a year with the special product (or even mild soapy solution) and it will last a long time.

My ZHP interior was covered in it and it wore very well over time. Plus, no sliding around, cool in the summer and not bitter cold in the winter.

Honestly why would you want dead cow in your car?

I've had quite a few Alcantara steering wheels. Everyone always claims they get all sauced up. I've never had a problem with them. Sonax Alcantara cleaner and a Colourlock brush, takes care of all.

I’m Italian. The Gesture Control in my 330i gets confused by my family’s hand gestures and then turns on the stereo. But, Alcantara should would sure look good amid the confusion.

Bravo to this BMW-Milano collaboration!

I'm read that and similar articles. They don't mirror my real world experience with the fabric.

Why’s everyone so “wow” over a one off car that most of us will never get to even see in person.

Wow would be, we’re now offering this on select models.

Because we are car enthusiasts?!?!

….or at least we are supposed to be.

Your reasoning is flawed. How many cars do we "wow" over on a regular basis that most of us never get to see in person?

Yeah I see your point. I guess I’m just annoyed that they have these cool things and we can’t have them 😆😆😆
