Yeah, Geniuses are useless. Same as the BMW manufacturing tracking system.

I called, and it was as expected, no info other than what it shows on the tracker. He said either waiting on parts or something wasn't completed properly and they're fixing it.

I think you and I are in the same exact positions with our M3C's. The last status update I got on Tuesday was 'Dispatched from Factory" and I know that there is often a delay in updating the BMW tracker. Hopefully we get notification that we have boarded a ship and we can get our cars soon!

Mine shows at port now, I'm hoping that the site is delayed enough that we are actually on a ship! If not soon!

I just checked the recall tool/site and info on my car showed up there just today. So at least I know it's in QC because they're fixing those things at the factory. Should mean that when it finally shows up here, I won't have to wait too long, just for scheduling PCD.

No, the stop sale would be for when it gets here and needs to be retrofitted. Since they're apparently fixing it there, once it gets here, should go right to the dealer (or Performance Center if you're taking delivery there).

I've made it to At Port so it left the factory and made it through QC. The recall notice for the RAM says its for cars produced between May 7 - 21 May so ours shouldn't have been effected but

So what has the average wait time been like for the audio module retrofit at the factory? I've heard some had their car in QC for many weeks.

If your VIN is listing that, and your car has left the factory, you'll most likely be in stop sale until fixed.

How were you persuaded to give up your car early instead of holding onto it until your new car arrived? Just curious because I was convinced by my dealership that my leased 2020 X3M Comp will have a trade value equal to what is owing on delivery day for my 2022 M3C xDrive.

Don't beat yourself up. Things could have been a lot different but the world is just a crazy place these days with global supply chain a complete clusteref*ck.
I was bumped from September production to Week 45 November as I'm sure many of us were. It really is like a lottery when some are getting their cars straight from the factory with no recalls/retrofits and others playing the waiting game.

Does anyone remember the good old days when the only lottery was whether you got Michelin vs Pirelli/Continental tires?
