Does anyone know what transmission are the RedBull brothers running on their drif cars?

Being able to control the engine with a MoTec is probably a big advantage over the factory Bosch unit. From my understanding from the GT-R and Porsche world, the granular control you have with the MoTec's is crazy.

They have a series of videos on YT. They use PTB clutch (more detailed video coming out) with Sonas (not sure of the spelling) but it’s super small 5 speed sequential shifter.
Have to look into more of the great box they use and options for daily use w/big power.

These guys have a great build for sure

Everyone with a stage one tune: “Boost is too high, the manifold’s gonna separate, time to spend $4,000 on an aluminum one”

Red Bull Drifting: “Here is our two year old, 1,000 HP drift car with a stock plastic manifold”

Also, funny enough CSF tested the stock intake manifold up to 40 PSI and it held fine.

S58 engine deep dive. Is it the new 2JZ?

Saw this video of a comparison between the S58 and the 2JZ engines and the disassemble and a look inside of the 1000 HP S58 engine that the the drift brothers of redbull used for drift after 2 years of trashing it, wow the S58 is just born and it’s impressive so far.

Enjoy the video.

If you really wanna get nerdy, here's a teardown of a B58 vs a 2JZ:

Hopefully they do something similar with an S58 or even an B58 vs an S58 and go through the differences.

LOL.
I obviously need to freshen up on my Fast and Furious lines with you guys.

That looks like a stock intake with an added fuel rail making 1,000hp

Owners are modifying S58 up quiet a lot.

2JZ I think was being built up to higher boost and HP sometime before it made it into Fast & Furious 1st film Studios needed to connect with car enthusiasts audience for legitimacy of content.
