There's something in there that the dealer isn't telling him.

Depending where you are, you can get a slightly lower monthly if you finance 72 mo @ 3.49 72 months with 10 down

That's not a good lease, especially when you're putting that much down (which is never a good idea on a lease). Leasing is just a terrible move these days.

I'm confused with that much money down why your payment is so high if there's no markup and base money factor.

Yes that is what I was wondering as well! I refuse to put down $7k on a lease and I asked for a full run down of how the payment turned out like that. I also asked for other options like BMW select and haven't heard from them since. It's been a week. I'm looking else where now.

Just walked into an open allocation for a march build that someone backed out of. Order was still in 112 so they were able to modify it to my exact build (M4 comp xdrive). They were asking for MSRP with +1k in aftermarket addons ("paint protection"). I was stoked to find something this close to MSRP with a production number ready to go so I jumped on it immediately. Put a 2.5k deposit in today and can already see the car on mybmw with my build, and attached image of the build sheet I received. I'm stoked please let me know if anything sounds/looks off.

Edit; this is an out of state order (could not find one local), this dealer is in KY. happy to give info though PM

Congrats! Were you on a waitlist or did you just magically call a dealership with an unused allocation?!

Thanks! I reached out to them on Sunday and this all went down today (Tuesday). Super super lucky. I reached out to maybe 50+ dealers over the past few weeks and just happened to find this gem. I was just about to start putting deposits down to get on multiple waitlists and then this came in today. I might make a post about my experience and dealers I found.

Agreed - I was around that lease payment with no money down and basically the same MSRP.

Was at my dealer yesterday and they said residual went down 1% and base MF went up to 0.00158. Let's see if that's true....

It looks like Finance/Select interest rates jumped again, 2.99% now.

Well, first thing is learn how to calculate what your lease payment should be without asking the dealer...

i found that the a lot of Ca s dont understand the select program and it always isn't the best for the buyer but I got .9 financing and I'm positive the car will be worth 32k in 5 years .maybe ask for the sales manager or call BMW directly for more info

They told me that production would start in March and they expect delivery in May.

But with the factories in Munich shutting down because of the Ukraine conflict, I think my build will be delayed as well.

My only reservations with balloon financing is that I assume all risks of ownership whereas with a lease bmwfs assumes the risks. While the car being worth $32k in 5 years is definitely realistic, a fender bender will plummet the resale value. From that angle I usually prefer to just lease...
