No, people that were before you are getting their 22's converted into 23 which are going into production. Your time will hopefully come soon enough.
I was told prod # stays the same and converts to a 23. I'm not sure about that since I'm the only one at my dealer waiting. Who knows at this point

Definitely frustrating for sure. Every dealer always has a different answer. Good luck with your car.

Some people were specifically saying they hadnt ordered until after March that are getting MY23 production numbers. Some had said they started with a MY23 allocation. My MY22 production number from January still hasnt been updated. And my CA confirmed that yesterday all the leftover M4s had been already updated to MY23, just not the M3s. Its still a shit show. But I'm glad at least some people are getting cars.

I'm in Canada, just checked the configuration is still for MY22

Correction: apparently well it shows MY 22, the configurator is now actually working with the MY23 order guide.

Same status as me and I have also seen plenty of others that ordered well after my Jan order, week 5 build, that either got '22 cars or have a prod number and are scheduled with '23 cars.

It's ridiculous that BMW hasn't taken their list of '22 cars that they said they weren't building and had to be switched to '23, and scheduled them before giving out new ones.

If I could, I'd be ordering a 992 GT3 or the GT4RS instead for sure.

Same, just can't justify the price of those in this market

Its hard to find something now with a back seat, 450+hp, manual transmission, and in the $80-90k range. I went to a dealership yesterday to look at a blackwing they had, sticker was $95k so I was considering it until they told me it has a $50k additional markup.

I can tell you that the production number does not remain the same, at least in my case. I can also tell you from the dealer that another customer was in the situation as me, and he too was given a week 29 build and a new production number.

The bottom line as I see it, is that anything for MY22 is done and dusted at this point unless you are status 150 and in production.

I was told that any customers who had a MY22 build would be prioritized for a quick turn around for MY23 from BMW, i.e. July production, and that's what happened to me.

If the dealer is on his game they should be reaching out to MY22 customers, confirming their builds, getting them in the order bank and prioritizing them first as allocations roll in.

Remember, packages, pricing, etc. have changed and the dealer would need to get your "go or no go".

Hope this provides some clarity from my current experience, and give some help and assistance to my brothers looking for answers.

Appreciate that explanation, you are right then, I guess I'll wait till July and see if I have a prod # by then for a MY23. If not I may cancel my order and buy another car because it's getting ridiculous

I'm not sure, but I feel that it is not as simple as waiting for a new production number, but rather having the dealer enter your order back in the order bank, then applying the order to the new allocation, which will trigger the new production number.

For what it's worth I went on the offence with the dealer to ensure that I was top of mind and holding them accountable for the process and the first allocation that came in, as I was the proverbial number one on the list.

They were true to their word, but literally had to start from scratch no matter if you keep the same build, or made changes.

My m3cx 2022MY order switched to 2023MY this morning and went from order received to scheduled for production. Now I need to check with my CA about the heads-up display because I can't find it.

Likewise , 2022 build became a 2023 with the same production number and has now switched to 112 (Scheduled for production).

Only thing is I'm verifying drive recorder is selected since it was included on the parking package before it's seemingly missing now.

I think they have it as a separate item for $100

Isn't that included in the Exec Package?
