What have I done to the stock exhaust on my m3 comp, if anything?

I know videos aren't great at replicating sound but let's see who knows what they are (or are not) hearing.

I hear ass. Sorry, they all sound that way. Little better than the F car but not much

With a myriad of possibilities plus so many brands of options and then a video that isnt super clear... I can not tell but if it really was only 4k rpms, it sounds more raspy than a stock car at the level with the valves open.

Again, to your point, videos do not do it justice and the S58 in general doesnt have much justice exhaust wise

A terrible guess is you removed the secondary cats only.

Its a shame they cant make there 6 cylinders sound good.

It wasn't warm. Vsc valve controller and bms elite cold air intake, the later of which I don't think changes the exhaust sound at all.

I don't disagree but it sounds much better than stock without having to change much at all. That's my point - for those not looking for a huge difference in
Decibels but instead a little better tone, you can achieve this without having to depart too
