Hey all. Waiting for my M4 comp
Xdrive. Never did find out my production week but it was so fast. I went to dealer 11/9, had allocation 3 days later, car built and at port 12/3 and now just waiting for a ship to Port Hueneme, CA. There’s one in port now and 3 scheculed over next 2 weeks so I’m hopeful. Came in just under sticker. I’ve heard the carbon bucket seats slow down production but definitely wasn’t the case here. All it all it was an incredibly easy pain free process. |

I have a vehicle that's on the Athens Highway too, it moored this morning in Baltimore at about 2am, about a day and a half late. It was originally scheduled to reach New Brunswick tomorrow on the 12th, but I believe it's going to be moved back to Wednsday the 13th possibly the 14th. I am in Charleston SC area.

VPC Status
Has anyone ever called the VPC directly for status? I checked the Brunswick VPC on Google Maps and noticed some reviews. One said the VPC had more info than BMW Customer Service. I'm wondering if that's true and what more info they can provide.
My car was just offloaded at Brunswick yesterday and is waiting to clear customs. I've got my fingers crossed it won't be much longer once it's at the VPC and ready to ship to the dealer. |

I'm in the same boat. Placed a pre-order to get on the waiting list to get an allocation. M3 allocations are hard to find these days. My local Sterling, VA dealership said it's a year long list to get an M3 or M2 allocation. However, only 3-4 months to get an M4 allocation, so I went with that one. No rush, they will be in production until 2028.
Also, I called many other dealerships. Nearly all said "Come, we have an allocation." which turned out to be blatant lies. Alexandria even said "We have an allocation, but we need to figure out how to get you on the list to get you one". All were telling lies about their (lack of) allocations, except Sterling, VA. They happen to be the closest too. |

2024 BMW M4 Stuck in Awaiting Carrier Status
My car (2024 M4 Competition) completed production on November 21st and still is in Awaiting Carrier Assignment. I have reached out to the dealer whom has escalated it to BMW management and delivery service. They likely think the vehicle is still sitting at the factory in Regensburg. This seems odd for it to be sitting in this status for over a month.
I ordered a 2024 model earlier this year, went into production early May and was delivered to my dealer end of June. Reason I had to re-order was due to baseball hail that caused a total loss with only 1.4K miles They attempted to try to ping it but were unable to, as the vehicle wasn't on they stated. Guessing the battery is not hooked up, seems odd the vehicle would need to be on (running) to ping it. Any words of wisdom, why would the car take this long to be picked up from the factory? I live in Austin TX and the car needs to make it to Breemerhaven port. If you do the math, the factory produces 1.5K vehicles per day (estimate) and if it has been ~30 days, that is 45K vehicles that have been produced since my vehicle has been done, which surely the factory can't have storage for that many vehicles and that long of a backlog. Feels like the vehicle got missed and is just sitting somewhere in a parking lot lost with no-one able to assist or care. Last edited by austintex; 12-29-2023 at 10:28 AM.. |

Ordered my G81 just before christmas and the dealer (in Germany) told me that all their M2 deliveries just have been delayed as there was some flooding in one of the ports.
He said even if the flooding is only a few inches they will now send back all vehicles to the factory and do another inspection / cleaning. As the M2 is produced in Mexico I don't know if there was maybe some storm or sth. which also affected US ports on the east coast or in the Gulf of Mexico...just an idea. |

Anyone know when the MY25 M4 Competitions will start production? If it is delayed much longer, the dealer has committed to giving me their first 2025 allocation.

Should be sometime around June/July. I believe the allocations that become available in May and going forward are for the next model year builds.

Production number received on 12/04/23, in Paint Booth on 12/18/23, still stuck in paint booth on 1/3/24. 2024 M4 Comp xDrive.
Called Genius just now, said they see same status and to check with dealership . Called dealership and they said to call Genius. Kind of a joke. Order a $100k+ car and they don’t know the status! I can track a $5 Amazon package within 3 feet of its delivery route LOL. I asked Genius if they were aware of any delays at factory or transport, and they said none that they’re aware of. Dealer is emailing me later today once they call factory for an update. Will keep y’all posted. Come on BMW! Last edited by Loofy34; 01-03-2024 at 12:27 PM.. Reason: Update |

You’re probably right. Spoke to my dealer and production deadline for the car is 1/11/24. Looks like there is a chance I’ll have my car by end of February if no delays in transport 🙌🏼

Good luck with that, I hope you do, but my M4 has been finished with production since 11/21 and awaiting carrier assignment for 43 days, as of today. Insanity.....
