For those of you who simply cut out the secondary cats and resonators how much did your shop charge you? I called around a few local places and I feel like I’m getting expensive quotes. As high as 800$ Canadian. Lowest I found was 600$. I used to weld in my old job and I just can’t see how it can be this much. Unless the price of material really jetted upwards. And this was for regular steel. Not stainless. Stainless was almost double the price. Can anyone recommend a garage in the greater Montreal area?

Thanks guys!

I believe it's the manufacturer site. Just went to purchase and it added $25 for shipping. Not a big deal, but it says free shipping so I sent them a message to clarify.

Sorry for bumping a year old thread and sorry if this is answered/corrected later in the thread but I'd like to weigh in with my experience regarding warranty on tuned cars. I took my car (a 2018 CS) for its 3 year service a few months ago and I was told that neither catless downpipes nor an ECU tune (I run MHD, not a piggyback) will void your warranty. The only thing the tune limits is the ability to CPO the car. The dealer was fully aware of everything done to my car and I was able to renew the warranty without issue.

To the best of my knowledge, your wallet/warranty is only at risk if the failure can be directly linked to a particular mod, so they're not going to stick you with a bill for $15k for a new DCT because you installed some downpipes.

Personally I found doing high flow primary cats on my car made a bigger difference then deleting my resonators and secondary cats. Obviously the secondary cat and resonator delete will add some sound to the car but not nearly as much as changing the primary cats did for me. Also, I dynoed my M3 and just from doing high flow cats I picked up an extra 20 whp which I was really surprised about. My M3 finally sounds like a true German performance car!
