I sat in your current status for 14 days before it reached port in Germany where it currently sits waiting for a boat for the last 6 days. Everything is backed up right now and a lot of delays have been happening. Once your on a boat, you should figure another 10 to 15 days to your port I believe but it may be more to TX? Then it has to pass customs and hitch a ride to your dealer. I would expect a few more weeks at this point for sure.

Agreed that there are delays everywhere, even at US ports. My M3 sat for a week at the port in Baltimore before getting picked up by the tracking company.

Just got picked up yesterday and scheduled to arrive at dealer tomorrow. Can’t wait to pick it up next week! 😀

Was thinking more along Astons process. Cameras catch the car (not workers ) at different stages of build and then build a file which is handed over as part of delivery...

Same here, wk 24 build for frozen dark grey, but I had my production number for 6 week! Worth the wait for sure.

Just got bumped to 115 yesterday. Called my CA today and he was surprised; Said this allocation wasn't expected to change production status for another two weeks.

Hoping the rest of you get some good news this week too!

At 8 PM, mine just switched to “At the dealership”

Started thinking about calling my sales person and thought “when does the dealership close?”

Of course at 8 PM

I'm still waiting for mine to switch to "not at the port". I know, I know. I already have a date...

Yes and my anguish is starting to annoy my wife. Her reaction this morning when I told her it was in production was "thank God".

Send our condolences to her because it's only getting worse now.

This is what's going on lol. The damn port is a glut of cars. The ship getting stuck in the canal caused a huge backup. I'm stuck at the port with you.

Unless you're on the other side of the canal in the middle east and Asia waiting for your M3/M4 to be delivered, the ship getting stuck in the Suez canal and the backlog of ships isn't going to affect you.

BMW waiting for parts that were on ships waiting to go through the canal - that's affected. But that's also going to delay production in a couple of months - not now and for the last few weeks. I also think BMW is prioritizing cars that are "sold" for production and shipping over the ones that will sit in dealer inventory waiting to be sold. That's the main explanation why so many people are having their production dates moved up by weeks in my opinion.

While that BLG Logistics webcam is helpful, I don't think that's where some of our cars are getting loaded. At least not some of the cars headed to the east coast/mid-west. I've watched the cam several times per day when my car was getting loaded and the ship it was transported on was never on that cam. By the time I learned that my car was "In transit" (April 6th, loaded on April 2nd), the ship tracking sites already moved the information behind their paywall of exactly where the ship started the voyage at the port.

The other thing to keep in mind is that some ships arrive quicker than others due to how many stops they have to make. My car waited at the port for 2 weeks and was finally loaded on April 2nd. It arrived in Baltimore on April 12th while another ship I was tracking that left Bremerhaven over one week before arrived at about the same time. That other ship had to stop in Belgium, UK, and Canada before going to Baltimore. The ship mine was one was direct from Bremerhaven to Baltimore.

Don't expect significant delays yet. Don't take the BMW tracker site to heart because the updates are delayed by several days in many cases.

Apologies if I missed the answer to this in previous pages: What is the current build-time ETA for a 6MT with Individual exterior color? My local dealer did not give me much confidence in their response.

Thank you!

Thanks for the information. Many theories and many of yours sound logical. I thank this forum for information as it's all I've got to go on most of the time and most of us are so excited this is where we spend a lot of time. That's good to know on the BLG webcam!
