Glad it’s fixed. Even if it does show up on a car fax it will be listed as “minor damage”. While the BMW dealer won’t report it her Insurance still might. I honestly don’t worry about that kinda stuff. We have insurance for a reason. I get people are afraid to turn it in for fear of rates going up but even if it was determined to be your fault our rates increase every 6 months anyway and they are limited to how much additional they can charge you. If your insurance provides accident forgiveness your rates won’t go up. I pay the extra $50 per 6 months for that piece of mind. Just my opinion…

I went out of pocket for similar damage when I got side swiped by a drunk driver who had trash insurance.

Thankfully I had ppf and there was no paint damage only ppf and some pdr.

Yeah, but I can understand where they were coming from. I was lucky in this case to have a good experience with insurance and a good repair.

I wish that was the case here. My PPF stopped a lot, but the dent was unavoidable. Considering the speed she hit me and the noise it made, I was actually shocked the damage was so minimal.

I had a similar swipe happen to my M2 in a parking garage. The PPF was so mangled I had to cut it away, but it saved the day. Since then I've always been a believer.
