Has anyone done this exhaust for our G82?
I know their reputation is solid from Lamborghini and have a great tuned sound.

IMHO, I like Akrapovic as a brand (had them on my motorcycles before), but the cost for the G8X exhaust is horribly overpriced in my opinion. Over 10% of the cost of the car itself is kind of insane. Whether you're looking for performance, sound, or looks, you could get much more value elsewhere.

You can say the same for PPF/Paint protection or even a set of Wheels.

Akrapovic sets the bar for all exhausts on the market. The craftsmanship, sound and even resale value beat than any other system out there. It's not for everybody, but those that have it know quality.

I think in terms of quality u won't find better exhausts, and for me the sound of it is a perfect fit…
In terms of pricing i think its more than fair as it is a titanium exhaust, so you can't compare with a normal stainless steel most others do… for example, the m performance exhaust from BMW is more expensive than the Akra…won't talk about the look of it

I'm still debating if I want to get an aftermarket exhaust for mine…if I finally decide to do so, for sure gonna be the Akra.

Listen to a EVO system and see if that changes your mind. Stock cats simply neuter the sound.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to get the EVO link pipes in the US, so we'll have to find a different solution. Here's a clip from a Malaysian dealer:

Yes, but not imported/sold in the US by Akrapovic US due to emissions.

Im waiting on my Akrapovic that I have prepaid for. I only bought the catback. I will be tying it into psi‘s mid pipes. I’m hoping for the perfect sound. Because if not I will be incredibly disappointed. Supposedly I should be getting it in the next week or two. But of course I’ve been hearing that since December 20. Europe seems to be having a difficult time shipping things to the USA.

Sorry I'm confused, do they sell the short link to keep the secondary cats? But won't you fail smog anyway because it's a modified exhaust? Or are they doing this so that you will pass? I like the long pipe because then it's bolt on instead of cutting.

Unfortunately, that's exactly the reason. Akrapovic no longer ships non 50-state legal components to the US.

That's so silly so they are being compliant on their end by making you retain the secondary cats but you fail smog anyway lol. Do you have any plans on carrying the long tube like IND?

The catalytic converters are retained, you woulds still pass smog testing.

You need to contact IND, I can't answer for them. The part simply cannot be ordered in the US.

Well that changes things so you're saying I can pass smog in CA with the catback since the cats are retained and in the same positions as oem? I know it will sound neutered but atleast you don't have to swap it every few years. I was under the impression it would still fail visual and the akrapovic website said off-road use only.

As long as both primary and secondary cats are retained, you're fine as emissions go. But you won't be getting tested until 2029 for new vehicles.

The tips are ridiculously good looking, the price is the price (good grief) and the sound is most definitely mediocre.
