Also, make sure to pick whatever color you really want, even if it's Individual. I didn't want to risk the additional wait, so I went IOMG (which I'm very happy with). But if I could go back to when I ordered, I would have gone Individual paint.
All this talk of laser lights is making me reconsider ordering it, but in Canada it’s not a stand alone option as far as I can see. It’s only available as part of the premium package which is an additional $6500, and includes options im not all that keen on/need.
I'm in Canada, it seems laser lights are not available. This according to my dealer. I checked with BMW Canada who indicated they "were unaware of any options or features being deleted from MY22 M3 orders including laser lights"

However I've heard from a number of people in Canada who've been advised laser lights will not be included.

On other BMW models, it's a $1500 option in Canada, so I am going to ask for a credit as I orders the package.

Really?? That’s so weird. So even if you pay $6500 for the premium package you won’t get the laser lights? All the more reason for me not to pay get the package I guess

For me, my spec was a must. I never waivered in what I wanted from the minute I built my car back in March of 2021.

So for me, my must haves were my spec:
BG/Fiona extended
826m black wheels
CF trim
CF exterior package
Exec package
Parking assist package
Laser lights
Shadow line lights
Red calipers

But I realize a spec is different than MUST haves, so my must haves would be:
1. Laser lights
2. CF exterior package

Edit: 3. Exec package (love me some HUD).

Don't @me.

There are a number of things on the package important to me: Head Up Display, HK Sound System, heated seats. I'm not happy about the Laserlight deletion, I'm definitely going to push for a $1500 credit

We must be in different markets if a must have for you is HK speakers. Those are standard here and they suck. If they're an option in your market, I can't imagine what comes standard.

Also, what is acoustic double glazing? Is that some sort of special glass?

I'm in Europe, so most options are stand-alone. h/k is an option and if you don't tick it you get the standard "HiFi" system, you'd also find in say, a 320i.

Double-glazing is just that. Two panes of glass with an acoustic film in between. Significantly reduces road and wind noise and in turn improves the h/k sound due to the lower noise floor in the cabin.

If I'm not mistaken several have reported that laser lights are currently not available (on restriction recently) for now on G8x models in Canada

Is the BMW Performance Exhaust now available? And, what is the "Tail Pipe Package "?

6MT
Laser lights
Executive package

6MT speaks for itself, laser lights make the car look way more aggressive and looks infinitely better than the sleepy eyes on the standard DRL's, and executive package because I like a heads up display and a heated steering wheel for the cold months in NY.

There are no universal must have options. As far as I'm concerned, the only must have is the hips of the G80, and that comes regardless of what you do.. unless you get an M4. I like dem thicccc hips

2 questions as I read these….

1) Does anyone have a side by side comparison of shadowline headlights vs no shadowline? I'm having trouble detecting the exact difference. I'm actually not a fan of "smoked" headlight glass (like Porsche Carrera GTS for example) because I like my DRL's to "pop"….I want them as bright as possible. Or, is it just the backing of the housing that's a different color?

2) I've heard a few comments about "deleting" the wireless charging. I understand it doesn't work well, warms the phone, etc, etc…..but, does having it cause any other issues? Like, does having wireless charging prevent you from having wired charging? If it's standard, I'm not sure why you'd want to delete it (even if you don't use it)….

People like the much fuller looking DRLs in the Lasers as opposed to the "single slit" look of the standard DRLs.

My M340i has standard LEDs (non-laser) and they work very well. I almost never use high beams. Aside from wanting the 3/4 around DRL look, I don't think most would notice the difference in the lights. Not sure if it worth $1000 to me.

Yeah, it's available. You have to buy the exhaust, rear diffuser and the tail pipe kit which takes the exhaust from 4 horizontal pipes coming out the back to 3 in a triangle formation in the center of the bumper.
