What are you pulling a boat or something?

Seriously if you really are only getting 10 mpg you have something seriously wrong with your car. I imagine you'd get more than that even if every time you drove it you floored it from stop sign a stop sign and red light to red light and you did 150 mph down the highway every single drive.
Honestly I didn't know the actual mpg but I spent a lot on the gas. I was exaggerating a little bit.

I wished there was something wrong with the car but the car was issue free. :

I get it. These things do suck the gas down for sure. But it’s nothing like a big 8 cylinder pick up truck or a Humvee. Considering how powerful these cars are they get pretty decent gas mileage. I know a lot of people are commenting on this thread that who buys a car like this and cares about gas mileage but I can tell you this I’d rather get 19 miles to the gallon beating on this thing then 9 miles to the gallon. I do care a little bit. Sometimes I take this car on business trips. Lots of people here daily drive this thing. It’s bad enough we have to put 93 octane in so getting 25 miles per gallon driving like grandma seems pretty awesome to me.

The only response that came to mind when I saw the thread was, "Yes, my car uses gasoline..."

I'll probably look at the mileage history in the car when I go out for drive after work, just for fun.
If I lived in a country where fuel was relatively cheap, I'd probably have the same attitude. In Europe, premium fuel is now around $11.30 per gallon, however.

It would be interesting to see how much of that $11.30 per gallon is the actual gas price, taxes, profit, etc.

Gas is a global commodity. Variations between countries are almost all due to variations in taxes.

I track gas mileage not only for a fuel cost perspective, but also for an engine health perspective (and because I’m a numbers/stats nerd).

But just as an example, my Nissan Titan is direct injected and my highway fuel economy is a good indicator of when I need to walnut blast the valves. I’ve done it twice so far and it’s very apparent when the need is there. So I’m a proponent of this thread, despite the haters. Lol

This is the only valid reason I have heard to track MPG so far!

The other reason is if average MPG increases, you're not fully enjoying the car and should consider selling it and getting a Prius.

Just joking, don't hate on me!

No idea on gas mileage. I take it easy while the car is getting up to operating temp and then enjoy the manual. 🙂

As for the different modes there are definitely throttle mapping differences between them and likely wastegate DC settings between modes as well. (This is why folks with JB4s are seeing more throttle closures in sport and sports plus versus comfort. The car overshoots boost targets quicker and results in more throttle closures)
