Is your G8x M3/M4 also your first M car?

This is my 6th BMW and first M car. I originally ordered an M440i back in January. About a week after I placed the order, I called my sales rep and asked if I could change the order to a G82. Of course he said yes. Best decision I ever made! Took deliver in April. This car is amazing and you can't drive it without a smile on your face!

First M car was a 2004 E46m3, then came the 2011 e92m3 and here I am 10yrs later waiting on a 2021 g80m3,Life’s been good 😊

First BMW. Liked the M3 back in the '80s, but was a GM small block (with several big blocks) fan. '06, '13 and '18 Vettes, and although I hate the proportions of the C8 from the side, probably would have bought one--if they were available and if they didn't have ripoff 'market adjustments.' Was planning on ordering a '22 TTRS, but didn't want to wait. To me, Porsche is the #1 performance manufacturer in Europe, BMW #2. The M4C pricewise was against the RS5 and C63S AMG--both good cars. But BMW had an all new design and powertrain--plus better infotainment. The IDrive 7 is as good as anything out there. And a better looking interior with top leather/trims. I buy on impulse, so I did. My C7 was in outstanding condition--7151 miles, and I got an excellent trade, although I just got an offer for it $4k higher--but, timing is timing. Couldn't be happier and really enjoy learning about it and BMWs in general on the forum.

I bought my first BMW In 2020, a 2021 M X5 xDrive40i as a family car. I just ordered my first ever real M car (last week my G80 Competition xDrive).

The process of buying this car reminded me of buying my very first house. So many options and colors, I probably changed my mind at least 50 times in colors, interiors, packets and wheels.

Absolutely! (Been there, had that .. plus the coupe). You got the S54 engine from the E46 M3 in a more rigid unibody. Sonorous and nimble — just what you want in a roadster on a midsummer night’s drive!

Same here, discounts over here in Germany are way too good to pass up. I ordered Tartufo with Black Sapphire Metallic. Did you add the M Drivers Package for the higher top speed? I think I may regret not adding it.
