anyone who can confirm that?
Yeah, i can confirm that rear seat is definitely off the table in the CSL.
Dash will be ID7 though.

You can't really assume the CSL is a direct competitor to a GT3, they can be built however there manufacturers want.

Unlike the CSL, the 911T and GTS are not tuned for track performance. Also, those are regular models - not limited editions.

Those who want rear seats can wait for the CS.

How many M5 CS's did Australia receive and what months were they delivered?

We got 20 of those and were the first to receive them

I'll have to dig around to get an exact date if you need it

I get the feeling they build the right hand drive cars first, but that's only a guess

It would appear than the CSL production numbers will be similar to the M5CS's. One, possibly two allocations for larger dealers.

Canada received around 30 M5CS's which started landing in June. I suspect we'll also be near the front end of the build cycle for the CSL. Doesn't the first page of the thread state production will commence this July?

Here's a sobering thought

South Australia which is the same size as Ethiopia has zero allocations. My guess is, there will be 1000 CSLs built (give or take a few)

Yes, July is the start date - what I was told is that Australian destined vehicles will all be done by October. Whether they meant they will be shipped by October or built by then is anybody's guess

And yes, I think our M5CSs came in mid-year-ish similar to Canada

Is there any credible word on how many M5 CSs were made globally?

On price, I'm guessing you guys will be paying south of USD$150K, we on the other hand will be paying well over USD$220K

M5CS price here was $165k CAD ($130 USD). As far as I know, Canada currently enjoys one the lowest (if not the lowest) new car prices in the world.

Not sure about production volumes on the M5CS but I could swear I saw a number of 1,200 mentioned at some point. Might just be my imagination.

Yeah

I heard 1200 too but can't verify its authenticity

https://www.carthrottle.com/post/the...a-standard-m4/
You can’t pick and chose times. Sport Auto got 7.37 for the GTS, and 7.52 for the base. Considering that one ran on PSS and the other on Cup2, the difference is only about 6 seconds which sounds about right.

BMW never published a Ring time for the base M4, that 7.52 is from the Sport Auto test.

This matches what I see on track with similar level drivers, where the GTS is a bit faster but not by much (my car has similar power, similar weight, a less competent suspension, steel OEM brakes, CS style aero and 6sp manual).

How many people here have committed to the CSL yet…..I have but the side profile, which uses more angular design vs. the traditional Hofmeister Kink is still something I am not fully embracing. While the spy shots don't help just yet I I hope that it will grow on me as a CSL

The shot from Garching under a cover doesn't help me much 😂 need more reveal.

Not many. Most people wont get the chance to buy one. Where I'm from, you have to bring in quite the personal history of BMW M cars owned to even get considered.
I know a dealer that gets one, but only one. His list of interested ppl is... more than than that.

I expect this to be the case as well. Demand for the CSL will outstrip supply - at least in North America.

Absolutely true - I had to disclose and list my complete M history and I was told that without that history there would be ZERO chance

What a hassle that I'm going to have to get one of these dumb trunklids aftermarket and color match it…

I also assume I'll be inclined to get the hood too smh
