First, yes I know there’s a thread similar to this but I have specific questions.

First, I know a non xdrive m3 raced an xdrive m440 but has there been a true xdrive m3/4 race against an xdrive m340/440 yet? If so can someone link the video or results?

Next, how would an m3/4x fair against an m340/440x from a 0-60 standpoint? I know you can read the 0-60 times bmw has posted but we all know those are never true.

Finally, the real reason I’m asking? There’s an m340 (with a HORRIBLE camo wrap) and m440 I always see driving together constantly trying to race me and I want to know how badly I’m going to win (or lose?) against them once my m4x arrives

M4X can do 0-60 as fast as 2.99s (drag times tested). You can find out real world numbers for the other models you're interested in similarly. You will be significantly faster than them if you've got skill and the right tires for the conditions (summer tires in wet winter weather will be a no no).

Unless you plan on going to the track who cares. Racing on the streets is dumb. That said, the M is a step above so don't pay attention and move on.

Real world nothing is ever really "equal" stop light to stop light.

I have driven both. I own one, will soon own the other. With a JB4 on MAP3, 1/4 tank of 93 on a good day 3.6ish to 60 11.7 1/4. Stock M4C still beats me. Real world as equal as it could have been. 100-200 feet it seems promising but the M440 loses it the faster you go. Mind you, it is by no means slow, but it is what it is. Throw a corner in there and forget it. G22 M-Lite is not light. At all. Love the car but really these two cars are cousins at best, not brothers. My 2cents YMMV

Watching some youtube videos last night of various cars. One M idiot incorrectly uses his launch control (does not know how to operate it) and worse, in a neighborhood. Hitting stupid speeds with houses on both sides. He will probably soon end up on one of the "supercar fail" threads where he tries to show off his drifting skills and slams a street pole, parked car, or house.

The guy was driving an M3 or M4 (can't recall without searching it). So not a supercar like a McLaren or Lambo, but I am referring to all the IG / youtube posts where morons lose control of their fast cars.

Got a m440i as my loaner today. It was surprisingly good. Very comfortable and pretty darn quick.
