Got my set this morning, now I have to wait for the darn 18mm socket. I know it can be done with 18mm deep, but personally like to use proper tool for the job, that's how I built my tool collection for the past 21 years. Also waiting on spacers and lugs.

Has anyone bothered replacing the shock boots? What length did you use?

Thanks! It seems to continue to settle, and it's now at a height that I really like.

That's what I will do then. Was an alignment necessary after this?

How's the front on yours looking? Any further lowering after 300+ miles like the red M3 in the post.

I did an alignment about 150 miles post drop--- the toe was slightly out and the camber was not too bad but we got it to spec or within the acceptable ranges.

Toe is the biggest thing to correct IMHO when it comes to street driving to save wear as its the "scubbing" angle.

Here is the current live look (maybe 225 miles post lower):

You absolutely need an alignment after any kind of suspension geometry change such as this. Waiting a couple of weeks is generally a good idea to give suspension some time to settle.

Sorry for the newbie questions, but I've never done suspension mods on a car.

If I do not plan on ever tracking the car, and will never adjust the suspension after install (just being real with myself here)...is there an advantage to a setup like this (meaning HAS or whatever) as compared to just "regular" progressive rate springs, or full coilovers?

It seems the advantage of springs is lower initial cost and lower install cost than coilovers, but at the risk of earlier wear of the stock struts and less/no adjustability?

As between springs, i understand that some are more extreme than others, and all have different characteristics. Is the advantage of HAS that you can "tune out" the tendencies you don't like?

Is the Mperf suspension typically HAS springs or coilovers?

If it matters, I do not want my car slammed (Vic's is plenty low for me), do not want to lose suspension modes (i have to drive clients sometimes), and use it as a daily so ride quality is still important.

I tried doing some reading, but just sooooooo mich info in sooooooo many places! Hahaha.

MP will be HAS. If your only going for looks and normal driving but not aggressive springs should be sufficient for you. HAS install cost more than springs due to all the adjustments needs to be made. But if you want adjustments to your liking HAS is the way to go.

If you don't plan to track, then regular lowering spring will be your best choice.
HAS is good since you can adjust the height to your liking (as the kit allowed) and also for track users, they can adjust the height for corner weight dialing.

Benefit on regular spring and HAS are you are keeping the EDC in-tact.
With Coilover, you will need to disable it.

I agree with the above but the two part helper spring in the rear was what swayed me to the MSS HAS kit. In my experience the basic springs can give a 'crashy' bouncy ride. The additional spring in the rear I felt would help with this. I think this has been true having lived with the kit. The rear feels stock (amazing) but if anything the front is where I notice a harsher ride with the lowering kit

Barry has it spot on... today I picked my new 2022 M3 and drove it home over 95 miles plus regular streets that I have driven all my other cars including my 2021 G80 M3. I honestly feel like the MSS springs endure the undulations and bumps better than the OEM's due to the spring rates and linear build along with the rear two part setup. The car today was just one level "extra" in bounce over the same roads and speeds I run with my 2021.

Tomorrow Ill install the MSS on the 2022 and report back as it will be an Xdrive install.

@barryc365 Vic55 both of you are spot on with the rear. Just did mine today front is still stock, on the same roads and on same bumps I didn't notice any difference at all over stock. Zero! Also 13mm looks aggressive as well. I will post pics ones I install the front, and wash the car to compete with Vic's clean ass M3, lol.
Vic55 you got a another M3 man, wow congrats love the color!
