The car is worth the wait.
the wait is killing me but more than that is killing me the thought that what if I never get one how I want it

Hoping that you get your allocation soon. I heard there were ramp ups near end of year and then major slowdown in December/January and with everything else, it’s hard to even determine if they will remain at this level or get better or worse.

I’m filling my time with obsession over the build I’ve submitted and watching as many videos as possible to keep me as psyched as ever.

Though I’m about to start a drinking game with “worth the wait” as it seems an easy way to have a few on a weeknight….it BETTER be at this rate
100% with ya!

I am supposed #1 since November but they didnt get any allocations since November, but only God knows when are they getting another one...
is so annoying and frustrating process....

problem is there is no other car in the market today that compares to a M3 base, simply none

That is not true, it may be the way your dealership wants to handle allocations, but a G80 allocation is for any model (same for G82). Also, if you're #1 for a MT, but they're providing allocations for people that want Comp/xDrive cars, you should look to other dealerships.

Incorrect. Maybe the dealer maintains seperate waitlists and dont want to change the variant for the particular allocation.

Interesting...

definitely will give him a call and try to find out...

I think February is the limit, if they "don't get allocations" then I will agressively shop around

Just placed my deposit last week on the 6MT so I have a while before I can personally answer your question. I’m basically telling myself I’m getting an MY24 at this pace. Dealer said that the allocations started taking longer than it was in late 2022 which was concerning. I, however, will not budge on getting the 6MT. Absolute deal breaker.
I also got tired of waiting, skip the line and call a broker…..you will sleep much better

Just curious which dealership did you place your order from?

I’d also suggest working with a broker, specifically Day Laborer, as mentioned above.

BMW is not Porsche, and misplacing your loyalty with a dealer because they are local will get you nowhere.

I put deposits in with multiple dealers and canceled them for a refund when my allocation came in on one. I was upfront about my intentions and they confirmed they were refundable.

Put deposit down on Dec 2 2022, allocation Dec 31 2022 in status 150 as of Jan 27 2023.

Things seem to be speeding up for people, economy and interest rates are likely slowing demand.

Walked into a SoCal dealer down the street from me the week of Christmas and they had 2 6MT M4 Brooklyn Greys with red interior in stock and picked one up. Even got a couple hundred off the MSRP.

My allocation came through with a smaller dealer while the two big volume dealers in my area still had me further down the list.

Same, the bigger dealers wouldn't tell me how big the list was, but their timeframe was almost double to smaller dealer that ended up getting my allocation.

Others can use the BMW site and check in w all the dealers in the area, Google maps actually didn't even find them all..

I’ve had success using autotrader.com. Set your perimeters and when you find a vehicle, go directly to the dealers website. If the vehicle is listed, call the dealership for info. 9 out of 10 times the vehicle is a customer order and pre-sold, but I’ve found several available M3’s this way.

I went with a broker a month ago or so and now the car is on a vessel. My local dealer would not even had an allocation yet…..they play games and waste peoples time, very annoying. Call a broker and you will have a production number in a matter of days.
