If you haven't yet, look into the SD chapter of the BMW CCA. They do a lot of events in North and East County San Diego and sometimes in the IE. Including canyon cruises through Palomar, Borrego Springs, Julian, etc. They schedule sessions at Thermal with a big discount to the regular price as well.
