I installed the stop and have no issues with the rev matching. I used all of the included 'washers'.
Thanks for the feedback. Is there a pretty noticeable improvement?

Yes, I thought it was worthwhile and I'm not one for most of the common mods done here otherwise (personally don't think there's enough reason for window tints, or wheel spacers). I like the clutch stop.

Got my break in service this morning and finally got to experience a little of what this car can do. I knew the extra power was there, but really impressed by how quick and smooth the shifting was compared to my f80

You like it that way? That would drive me absolutely crazy!! They’re centering stripes…

Out of all the weird mods and bizarre things I’ve seen people do to their cars, this is up there.

My OCD cannot... do you drive with your hand at 12 so you want to be able to see the stripes in that position?

Xpel self healing wrap on the front, mirrors, b pillars, and rear. Next up is ceramic this Saturday. After that, waiting on our lord and saviors Dinan to release the tune and cold air intake.

That is strange, I installed mine with only 1 of the included washers, I liked the feel, but had intermittent issues with rev matching. Uninstalled it the next day.

No problem with the M5. I wanted to change to a shorter knob before I install the SSK.

There is nothing right or wrong. It's everyone choice.

Enjoy your pick and much as I enjoy mine and move on.
You are free to modify your car as you wish. However this choice demonstrates that you don't understand or appreciate the functional purpose of those stripes on a wheel.

Those are center stripes. They originated in the late 50s and early 60s when Mark Donohue, a successful driver and innovator, added them to his steering wheels. Donohue and other drivers would use it to correct the steering wheel angle in high speed cornering and when preparing to leave the pits.

When you put it off center, it not only disregards the functional purpose but directly undermines it - if you were racing and put that stripe at top dead center without thinking you would crash. Kind of like someone who puts an enormous wing on a front wheel drive car.

THANK YOU!! I mean to each their own and anyone can do what they want with their car but having the center stripes at 1 o’clock instead of 12 is mind boggling

Lol. Yea, I just don’t see the purpose or rationale. You want to be different and don’t care about the intended use? Ok. Put it at 6 o’clock I guess. But to put it at 1 o’clock is just bizarre.

Can we just know the reasoning?

I think it's funny and cool and gave me an idea for mine, I am going to do it in a full circle to mimic a clock...plus it gives me like 12 more M badges ( these count right?)
