I think it’s just a natural way to hold a phone. Most of us want the quick video and the quick upload to social media sites to be viewed on a phone.

it's an uwritten rule:

Pic: Vertical
Video: Horizontal

You don't see anything when filming vertically. Best example are the BMW explaining videos...only made for instagram...for god's sake...

Brooklyn Grey is actually winning out in my mind now although I think Skyscraper Grey will be more up my alley as it's more metallic. Do we know details about availability and cost of Skyscraper?

In Switzerland it's already available for order and costs the same as SB, PB, IOMG, BG and TR. Interestingly it's only choosable on the 6MT
Don't know if it's an error in the configurator or if this color is exclusive for the 6MT.

While it's only indoor, this video here sold me on the beauty of BG! Really high quality and really shows the depth:

I still can't decide if I prefer dark or light colors on this platform, probably dark.

Never seen Oxide Grey in person, but Dravit is a really cool color, especially when it's bright out.

Dravit is such a cool color. Love the undertones in the paint, especially in sunlight.

Oxide is kind of interesting. I'm some lights, it reminds me of a more exotic Donington gray. My only hesitation is that it does appear to be "Camry beige" in some situations. Although there would be no mistaking a G8x for a Camry.

I didn't realize there is a better view of Skyscraper grey in that episode 3 ///M video. Looks close to titanium grey or a mix between glacier silver and space gray. Sign me up!!

These are supposedly pictures of Skyscraper Grey but i am not sure

Here another link to a car on mobile.de that according to the color description in the advertisement is supposed to be skyscraper grey.
To be honest i think it is not skyscraper grey, but i am not sure what color it is then. It also does not appear like Oxid Grey to me.

Hmm looks very similar to BG so makes me wonder if mislabeled or just bad photo exposure.

Did anybody found skyscraper grey photo? its strange you don't see it under serial pants - individualiser bmw...

is it for special markets? Dravit Grey is too dark Imo, boring colour, Brooklyn is a bit too light, skyscraper should be a gold standard but unfortunately you can't see it at all.. can somebody post a photo of a paint sample from a bmw dealer - my dealer didn't have it strange..

So just to make sure, you've seen both Brooklyn Grey and Dravit Grey in person? Keep in mind that pictures of these colors tend to look entirely different versus their real-life counterparts. Just giving you a heads up before you make your color decision (if applicable).

Out of all of them, I think Dravit Grey is the best of the lot. Pairs really well with red calipers, and Kyalami Orange or Fiona Red leather too. I absolutely love the gold flakes on the color too. Only thing is it might hide the CF details a little, but it doesn't bother me that much on my Sparkling Graphite E92

Yup I agree. I saw Dravit Grey in person in multiple types of lighting (overcast, night time, sunset, and mid-day noon) and it's variable shine is what sold me. Can't wait to see it again when I take delivery next month. The carbon bits won't necessarily pop, but it will be a fine contrasting accent to the overall stealthy meanness to the overall car

Not a fan of silver/greys.
I do think Brooklyn grey with black 826M rims & red Carbon seat interior would be a very cool combo.

Yes, I saw both in person. Dravit grey on M8 inside the shop and Brooklyn grey new g80 on the truck unloading when I picked up my car from the service. My dealer told me car will be ready for test drive on 15th of March due winter regulations here In Europe - car came with summer tires.
Anyway both colours are hipster colours but I think dravit is very depressing colour on a long run, very dark and I don't see benefits if you compare to black color which hides exterior carbon parts aswell but its just more glossy and makes care more mean. I saw bluestone metallic color on M8 aswell and I was impressed how good it looked - a colour you can live for long with it.. all those grey colours are good if you use this car once a week or a month not for a daily drive. Just my two cents.
