Q&A with those who have their cars
I thought we could use this as a Q&A for those of us who have ordered (or are waiting to do so) and want some finer details from people who have collected their cars already.
USA M3 1. Does an iPhone 12 Pro Max fit in the phone holder? (With or without a case - I use a wrap) 2. Do the rear seats have heating. If yes what pack(s) do you have? 3. Are the roof rack holes the same as a standard 3 series in regards to being able to use those roof racks? 4. How is the auto parking and lane keep features - any auto driving type functionality basically (ordering these mostly for my wife so want to make sure they work well) Thanks!

It seems that my head up display doesn't activate Sport Mode even though I selected Sport from the settings.
Nothing worked. I might have to bring the car to a dealership. Does anyone with 6MT have the same issue??? Edit (as of 3/18/2021): thanks to the members here, I [M Mode] button worked well.

Do you mean the HUD showing the tacho ?, you have to select sport in the mode settings on the centre console, are you doing that ?.

2. Yes. Not sure if that was part of the Executive Package, but that's what I have. 3. Not sure on this one - don't have another 3 to compare it too. But I think it's a bit bigger than the current 3-series. 4. Haven't tried auto parking, but the 360 camera is amazing. When you hit park it shows where your doors will open and gives a great shot of where you are in the space. Also very helpful for parking/avoiding curbs, etc. Lane change works well (I don't use it) but you can set it so it is automatically engaged with her key. Has different sensitivity and vibration on the steering wheel depending on your preference. |

Nathan,
im having the same issue. I select the HUD display and slide it to Sport and it doesn't change the HUD. I thought it was just me. The only way I can get it to change is by pressing the M mode button. Then it changes over |

I have this issue with my m340i. Haven't bothered to do anything about it but sad to hear it may be an M car problem too. I do have sport HUD selected in settings for when in sport modes. Interestingly it worked correctly with tach displayed months ago before a software update, so seems they f'd it up.

Does the HUD have a position adjustment? With a different car, that happened a few times where it forgot the preset position and it was set too high out of view.
I imagine setting it into Sport mode might have changed the position of the HUD to a different angle. |

1. How is the everyday ride comfort in comfort mode and/or sport?
2. How bad or good is the road/tire noise? I found both the F82 and F87 (especially) to have what I would term excessive noise intrusion. |

Same here. You have to hit the M Mode button to pull it up. Not sure why.

It doesn't work to set it on the screen. I went nuts for about 40 minutes trying that approach and it just didn't work. However, in the buttons by the shift there is an M Mode button. Pushing that should do it. You have to push it every time you want to change from "road" mode to "sport" mode in both displays.

What range are new owners seeing on a full tank of fuel? Chris Harris said he was disappointed in the small fuel tank so I'm curious how small it is. Hopefully larger than my old E90M3. It had a smaller tank than my bladder and I'm old!

The ride comfort is acceptable. I wish they had softened it down compared to f80 but seems about the same to me. The car transits a good amount of vertical motion to the occupants over rough pavement but it never crashes on harsh impacts, I wish it had more compliance in comfort mode. This is my biggest disappointment in the car. I'll still probably get one but I do wish it had more compliance on the road.

I picked up my 6MT today and definitely want to get a clutch stop. The travel on the clutch is way too much, and it leads to a bit of an awkward driving position. I have to have the seat further forward than I would like, which then strains my right foot a bit due to the odd angle. Guess I could always start wearing platform shoes.
