A little vague on the description.. is it cyclic with wheel rotation? Can you pinpoint where the sound is coming from? Specific corner? Engine bay?
First thing that comes to mind is something lodged in a tire…. Nail, screw driver, who knows. Check your tires. |

no nails or whatever on tires. Yes if the wheel is turned then backing or forward it make a knocking noise. If your cars don't make any noise, I guess I have to visit the dealer.

Where are you located and what tires are you on? I am in a cold weather mid western state and before I swapped my summer tires, the front tires would pop and skip on pavement while backing out of parking spots. Once I swapped to my Michelin AS4 all seasons that went away. It was obvious that the summer tires were rock hard and skipping around on the pavement. It’s way too cold for the summer tires here!

I’d like to say I can’t believe these cars are getting delivered like this, but it’s so bad that BMW literally needs to do something about it. I’m seeing it almost every week.

They pop apart like this. Get a larger flathead and just pry them apart. But if you want to make a stink about it, take it to the dealer. You may get some free shit. Or at least make them aware that they’re missing these things on customers cars. If you’re going to remove them, yourself, just be careful with the screwdriver not to stab or gouge the shock piston.

If you can reach in there without jacking the car up, but you’re probably going to need to take the weight off the actual wheels themselves, to extend the strut a little bit to get them removed. They’re probably going to be under compression.

These techs doing these PDI's must be blind. This is embarrassing.
